Insight Timer

Insight Timer is a free smartphone app and online community with than five million meditators. Australian brothers Christopher and Nicholas Plowman purchased the app from Brad Fullmer in April 2015, converting it to a free app. The app made Time magazine's list of 50 best apps for 2016.[1] Two thousand five hundred meditation teachers publish free guided meditations, music and talks on the app. Other apps in the mindfulness space include Headspace, Calm, and 10% Happier.[2] The team is exploring different commercial models to ensure the company becomes financially sustainable.[3]
