Inessa Kaagman (born 17 April 1996) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Everton.[1]
Career
Club
Kaagman joined Ajax in 2013, having spent her youth with Hollandia B1.[2] Her debut arrived on 30 August during a BeNe League draw away to Club Brugge, which was one of eighteen appearances in 2013–14.[1] She scored twice in eleven matches in 2014–15, prior to netting four goals in twenty-four matches in the newly reformed Eredivisie.[1] In the following two campaigns, Kaagman scored nine more goals; including her last for Ajax on 6 May 2018 vs. PEC Zwolle.[1] She won two Eredivisie titles with Ajax.[1] On 22 May 2018, Everton exchanged Marthe Munsterman for Kaagman.[3][4] Her professional debut came on 9 September vs. Birmingham City.[1]
International
Kaagman represented the Netherlands at youth level, firstly with the U15s.[1][5] She won nine caps for the U17s in qualification for the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championships between 2012 and 2013.[1] In July 2014, Kaagman was part of the Dutch squad that won the 2014 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship in Norway, she scored once (vs. Belgium in the groups) as the Netherlands beat Spain in the final.[1] They failed to qualify for the 2015 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, but Kaagman did score three goals in qualifying.[1] Kaagman received a call-up to the senior squad for a 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifier against Norway in August 2018, but didn't feature in the match.[6]
