If I Were Your Woman is a studio album by American recording artist Stephanie Mills, released in 1987 on MCA Records. It includes the songs "I Feel Good All Over," "(You're Puttin') A Rush on Me," "Secret Lady," and the title track, a cover of Gladys Knight & the Pips' 1970 hit. "I Feel Good All Over" and "(You're Puttin') A Rush on Me" were #1 hits on Billboard's R&B singles chart.[2]
The album was well received by critics and became a commercial success, peaking at #30 on the Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the Top R&B Albums chart. By late 1987, If I Were Your Woman was certified platinum by the RIAA for selling more than one million copies in the U.S.[3]
