List of ''The Venture Bros.'' episodes

The Venture Bros. has run seven seasons. The first three seasons consist of 13 thirty-minute episodes (including time for commercials), plus the pilot and one 15-minute Christmas special. The fourth season consists of 15 thirty-minute episodes and one hour-long season finale episode, while the fifth season has an hour-long premiere and 7 thirty-minute episodes.

An hour-long special titled "All This and Gargantua-2" aired January 19, 2015, as a precursor to season 6, although the Adult Swim website's video on demand section considers the episode to be the first episode of season 6. In January 2016 the sixth season, consisting of eight episodes, began airing and being made available on various digital platforms on consecutive Sunday evenings. The seventh season began airing in August 2018, with the season consisting of ten episodes.

During the first three seasons, Adult Swim originally broadcast several episodes out of narrative order. The DVD releases present the episodes in the order intended by Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. Beginning with season four, the network has debuted new episodes in the correct order.

Brock teams up with his old acquaintance, the mercenary Molotov Cocktease, to rescue the Ventures.

Necromancer Doctor Byron Orpheus moves into the Venture Compound as a tenant, and Dean is instantly smitten with his goth daughter Triana. Dean's feelings for Triana eventually reveal the door and permit their escape.

The Venture family sails to the Bermuda Triangle on their hydrofoil, the X-2, to recover an experimental aircraft built by Dr. Venture's father which crashed there in 1969. While Dr. Venture explores the ocean floor in a robotic atmospheric diving suit, the X-2 is overtaken by pirates whose ship has been stuck in the sargassum for years. Dr. Venture is trapped underwater after his "metasonic locator" accidentally summons the screaming ghost of the experimental aircraft's pilot, Major Tom. Brock and Hank work together to subdue the pirates, deal with the ghost, and save Dr. Venture.

Dr. Venture and fellow super-scientists Pete White and Billy Quizboy are recruited into a government think tank in the Arctic headed by Dr. Venture's former college professor, Richard Impossible. After flirting with Richard's wife Sally and discovering that the Impossibles all have freakish mutations, Dr. Venture is abandoned in the snow by Prof. Impossible and left to die. Meanwhile, Hank has been exposed to a serum that will eventually cause him to explode. Brock rushes him to the Arctic and saves Dr. Venture so that the think tank can come up with an antidote.

She regrets doing this, however, and eventually administers the antidote.

Pete White and Billy Quizboy help Dr. Venture operate on Dean, while The Monarch holds Hank and Brock as collateral. Dean recovers, but Hank eventually suffers the same ailment.

Dr. Venture holds a large tag sale to raise income by selling off assorted inventions and equipment, an event which attracts many scientists and supervillains. Hank runs a lemonade and sandwich stand at the event, with Dean, Triana, and H.E.L.P.eR. as his employees. The Monarch takes the opportunity to instigate a riot so that he can sneak into the Venture Compound to use the restroom and vandalize Dr. Venture's equipment.

Phantom Limb, along with agents from the Guild of Calamitous Intent, ensures that The Monarch is found guilty and sent to prison, which upsets Dr. Girlfriend.

Dr. Venture has surgery to remove a tumor from his abdomen. Thinking that their father is pregnant, Hank and Dean run away from home and wind up in a Scared Straight!-style prison program led by The Monarch. The "tumor" turns out to be Dr. Venture's twin brother, who has been living inside him since being devoured while the two were still in the womb. The twin attempts to claim his birthright by killing Dr. Venture, but is stopped by Brock and H.E.L.P.eR. After a truce, he takes the name Jonas Venture Junior and Dr. Venture gives him the X-2 and their father's facility on Spider-Skull Island. The family recovers Hank and Dean, but they are accidentally killed by Monarch Henchmen 21 and 24.

He and Brock ally to confront The Monarch at his cocoon base, while Dr. Girlfriend races there with Hank and Dean in tow, hoping to defuse the situation. The Monarch, Dr. Venture, and Henchmen 21 and 24 team up to take on The Monarch's mutinous new henchmen.

Hank becomes enamored with Molotov and tries to kill his father after accidentally drugging himself. Brock tracks his target to Macaronesia, finds that Hunter has undergone sex reassignment surgery, and lets him live, having been taught never to kill women or children.

The Venture family is in the midst of a time travelling adventure involving Sigmund Freud, Caligula, Edgar Allan Poe, and an ancient Egyptian cult. They call on Dr. Orpheus to save them from a deathtrap, leading to a debate between Dr. Venture and Dr. Orpheus of science vs. magic, to be settled by a contest of shrinking. Dr. Venture is unable to repair his father's shrink ray even with the help of Pete White and Billy Quizboy, and Dr. Orpheus is unable to shrink himself despite consultation with his otherworldly Master. The contest ends in a draw, while Brock, Hank, and Dean continue the time-travelling escapade.

A videotape left by Jonas Venture Sr. indicates that an invention of his must be assembled and activated by midnight of the following day in order to avoid calamity on mankind. With the help of Jonas Jr., the former pirate captain, and Sally Impossible, the Ventures must overcome a drug-addicted Jonny Quest and the interference of Professor Impossible to assemble the device in time.

Hank and Dean go on a double date with Triana and her friend Kim, at the same restaurant where Phantom Limb and Dr. Girlfriend are meeting with The Monarch and a girl he met online to discuss The Monarch's re-entry into the Guild of Calamitous Intent. The rivalry between The Monarch and Phantom Limb over Dr. Girlfriend leads Phantom Limb to order his Guild forces to eliminate the Ventures. Brock rushes to the rescue and gets him to call off the attack, while Kim expresses interest in Dr. Girlfriend's offer to become a supervillain.

The Venture family is captured in Ünderland by Baron Ünderbheit, who mistakes Dean for a girl and plans to marry him. Dr. Venture, Hank, and Brock are freed by the Ünderground, a resistance movement led by Catclops and Girl Hitler. They mount a rescue for Dean but are too late to prevent the wedding. However, when Dean's sex is revealed, Ünderbheit is arrested for violating his own law against same-sex marriage and is exiled from Ünderland, which becomes a democracy.

The Guild of Calamitous Intent approves Dr. Orpheus for an arch-nemesis, prompting him to reform his old team, the Order of the Triad, with Jefferson Twilight and The Alchemist. Jealous over the number of applicants for the position, Dr. Venture baits them into a battle by displaying his "walking eye". The job goes to Torrid, who impresses the team by kidnapping Triana. Meanwhile, The Monarch forces a prostitute through several deathtraps and Henchmen 21 and 24 attempt to strike out on their own using stolen jet packs.

The Venture family stays at the White House for a state dinner in Bud's honor, where Hank and Dean are informed by the ghost of Abraham Lincoln that Bud's mind is being controlled by his mother through a microchip as part of a plan to assassinate the President. The boys and Lincoln's ghost must work together to foil the plot.

A group of mystery-solvers resembling the Scooby-Doo gang investigate the Venture Compound, leading Hank and Dean to discover their many clones. The Monarch was a henchman for Phantom Limb at the time, moonlighting as a villain to attack Dr. Venture. He wooed Dr. Girlfriend and struck out on his own, earning the ire of Phantom Limb.

Venture Industries is on the verge of bankruptcy until Dr. Henry Killinger arrives to restore the business to its former glory and repair Dr. Venture's self-confidence. A head injury causes Billy Quizboy to recover his lost memories: Pete White made him cheat on a quiz show, ruining their reputations, and the two were rebuffed upon trying to get jobs working for Billy's hero, Dr. Venture. White mistakenly entered Billy in a dogfight, where he lost his hand and eye. Given robotic replacements by the Office of Secret Intelligence, Billy was enrolled undercover into the college course of Professor Fantomos, which Brock and Col. Gathers suspected was a recruiting front for the Guild of Calamitous Intent. He was involved in the accident that transformed Fantomos into Phantom Limb, then had his memory wiped by the O.S.I. and was left in White's care, while Brock was demoted to being Dr. Venture's bodyguard.

The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend move into Phantom Limb's former home in Malice, a gated community for supervillains. Things go awry when Dr. Venture takes the children to his father's "E-den", a biosphere that turns out to house an angry gorilla. Dean becomes infuriated when Dermott insults Triana, and beats him up. Dr. Girlfriend debuts her new persona as Dr. Mrs. The Monarch.

Prohibited from antagonizing Dr. Venture, The Monarch has murdered his replacement archenemies and is losing interest in supervillany. Dr. Mrs. The Monarch arranges for The Monarch's next archenemy to be Jonas Venture Jr., a close substitute for Dr. Venture.

Jonas Jr. has turned Spider-Skull Island—a former supervillain headquarters captured by the original Team Venture in 1969—into a museum honoring his father's exploits. Among the attendees at the opening ceremony are the Venture family, the surviving members of Team Venture, and even the supervillains who formerly lived there. Awkwardness and tensions result, and Prof. Impossible makes vain attempts to win back Sally, who has left him for Jonas Jr. The Captain and his crew mutiny against Jonas Jr. and cause a melee that accidentally activates an old self-destruct device, threatening the entire event.

Jonas Jr. seeks advice from Brock and two OSI agents, Mr. Doe and Mr. Cardholder, on how to deal with his new nemesis, The Monarch. They authorize him to eliminate the villain using a death ray, since The Monarch has killed his last five archenemies. The Monarch sends Henchmen 21, 24, and 1 to infiltrate Spider-Skull Island, but Henchman 1—true to 21 and 24's prediction—is beaten and seemingly killed by Brock. Their mission is a success, however: Jonas Jr. is fooled into thinking that he has eliminated his enemy, and his use of lethal force opens a loophole in the Guild of Calamitous Intent's rules that allows The Monarch to resume arching Dr. Venture.

O.S.I.'s General Treister is horrified to learn from Mr. Doe and Mr. Cardholder that their three best assassins have been killed by Brock, and decides to take matters into his own hands. The Venture family is saved by The Cleaner, who Brock discovers has been sent to them by Molotov Cocktease in her attempts to save them. With H.E.L.P.eR in their possession, the Monarch tracks down the Ventures and demands their surrender, while Brock is also contacted by Treister. Brock decides to speak to both at the same time to meet him at the Venture compound at dawn. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch believes it all to be a trap, but the Monarch reveals he has planted a bomb on H.E.L.P.eR. At dawn, the forces of the Monarch and O.S.I. face off, both believing the other to be under Brock's employ. Sergeant Hatred and Dr. Venture have an argument as to who has done worse things, until Hank says that they should use his "Christmas presents" (the clone slugs) to stop the fight. With the clone slugs led by Hatred, and all easily killed by the Monarch in his new Death's Head Panoply suit, Brock stops the fight and learns that Treister was only responding to his distress call. Brock decides that he has had enough and quits O.S.I. and his mission guarding the Ventures, just as H.E.L.P.eR's bomb goes off, taking Henchman 24's life in the process. After the credits, Molotov Cocktease is pleased that the world's top three assassins have been killed and now her Black Hearts Assassins are the best in the world. She calls for a toast to Brock Samson, and is joined by Hunter Gathers who is one of her fellow Black Hearts.

In the aftermath of the O.S.I./Monarch battle, Brock finds himself aboard one of the O.S.I.'s medical units, particularly their brainwashing unit, and with H.E.L.P.eR's head lodged in his chest. The doctors try to say there are simply no other medical units available, but he escapes with H.E.L.P.eR. Sergeant Hatred is administered a chemical before being re-recruited into O.S.I. once more and hired as the Ventures' new bodyguard. Brock makes his way to Macaronesia to see the doctor who operated on Gathers to remove H.E.L.P.eR from his chest. With the operation successful, he sends H.E.L.P.eR back to the Venture compound before going to see Steve Summers and Sasquatch to recuperate after surgery before staging an attack on the Black Heart Assassins. While attempting to infiltrate the compound, he comes across a SPHINX agent, even though the O.S.I. defeated SPHINX in the 80s, while interrupting a meeting between Molotov and Gathers, disrupting a SPHINX operation. When he comes to, Brock begins to realize what happened with all the events leading up to the battle and discovers that Hunter Gathers is no longer a woman and has reformed SPHINX. In a parallel storyline, Henchman 21, having formed a LARP group, commissions Dr. Venture to clone 24 back to life, despite the fact he would not be the same, and offers his copy of Marvel Comics #1 as collateral, valued at $500,000, with the value's drop indicative of the timeframe of the otherwise disjointed plotlines. At the same time, Venture is hired by a group of "fake" Nazis to clone Hitler from a bulldog containing the man's spirit. In the end, Hank, now with longer hair and wearing Brock's old jacket, and Sergeant Hatred hold up sniping positions to save Dr. Venture, who has refused to clone Hitler. Orpheus, with H.E.L.P.eR in his new walking eye body, tells Dean to kill Hitler with a magic dagger, but Dean refuses, and Hitler escapes. While Orpheus kills the Nazis, Hitler finds his way to Hank. Brock appears, with the same magic dagger, and kills Hitler, while telling Hank that no one can know he is back.^[1]^[2]

The Monarch attempts to hold Hank and Dean for ransom, but his plan is foiled by the arrival of Monarch's old enemy Captain Sunshine, who takes Hank away before the Monarch's plans can come to fruition. Hank, who is upset at his father and claims he has no father, is recruited by Captain Sunshine to be his new Wonder Boy. Sunshine's butler seems to believe something is up and walks Hank through the motions of being the new Wonder Boy, who deems it odd that Captain Sunshine does not fight crime at night or with his former team. However, he does work as a local news anchor with all of his former teammates. The Monarch still tries to collect the ransom, but Venture easily sees through his attempts to trade off one of his henchmen as Hank, with Dean being the only one still in custody. Venture hatches a plan to get the boys back, by shrinking down Hatred and hiding him in a bag of money Pete White and Billy Quizboy won from a recent lawsuit, but the Monarch manages to take the money anyway. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch warns him that as they do not have Hank, the Monarch will have to return the money according to Guild bylaws, but reveals she has managed to isolate the unique radiation Captain Sunshine gives off and has devised a way to track him down and defeat him. They track Sunshine down to his mansion, just as Venture, Pete White, and Billy do the same, both seeking out Hank, who somehow easily manages to thwart the Monarch's plans. Captain Sunshine rushes home from his news anchor gig to find the Monarch, who he believes to be immune to his powers in Wonder Boy's costume. The Monarch uses the device his wife made to kill Sunshine, but it actually re-energizes him, and he defeats the Monarch. Just as he is about to attack Rusty, Pete, and Billy, Hank stops him and says he cannot be the Wonder Boy he wants him to be, and returns home with his father, but not before asking for a word in with Batman, at which Captain Sunshine kicks him out.^[3]

Dean discovers his hair is falling out. Rusty indoctrinates Dean into his career as a super scientist, using inspiration from various progressive rock albums. A deformed and supposedly aborted Dean clone, D-19, lives in the compound's attic; Hank discovers a "Dean shrine" created by the clone. D-19 hallucinates that Rusty wants him to become the new Dean by making a skinsuit out of the many dead Dean clones. A UPS man delivering a large supply of plastic explosives to Sergeant Hatred (who plans to use it to create explosive decoys of Dr. Venture) believes that something sinister is happening in the compound when he discovers an open grave containing Dean clones. Hank is grounded, but gets a visit from Dermott, and the two raise hell in the compound. Hank hits one of the dead Dean clones with his car; believing he has killed his brother, he runs away from home. This also damages the corpse that D-19 was using to complete his Dean skinsuit, so he stalks the "real" Dean to obtain a replacement. Dean believes that D-19 is the result of a failed experiment in which he added his hair to Shrinky Dinks, and he flees the deformed clone. The police arrive to shut down the compound at the insistence of the UPS man. D-19 corners Dean, but hallucinates that Dr. Venture has accepted him as "the real Dean". D-19 hugs one of the many explosive Dr. Venture decoys and is destroyed. The real Dr. Venture is later arrested, and blames Hank for the debacle.^[4]

After 24's death, 21 has become the most fearsome and adept of the Monarch's henchmen, having undergone a long series of training to become a better fighter. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch warns the Monarch that 21 may be acting oddly, but the Monarch is pleased with how all of his henchmen are acting under 21's leadership, even the one who is now serving them a fancy dinner. However, 21 decides to kidnap Hank and Dean, ultimately being successful after the two have become tired of Sergeant Hatred's various kidnapping drills. Just as the Monarch and Dr. Mrs. the Monarch prepare to sleep, the Monarch suddenly has a violent reaction to what they had for dinner, and his face swells up. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch also gets a call from Sergeant Hatred who believes that 21 has kidnapped the boys while Dr. Mrs. the Monarch plans on dealing with the problem herself. Venture and Hatred infiltrate Malice to attempt a rescue on their own, while 21 tries to interrogate the boys, who reveal they know nothing of what happened to 24 and are simply annoyed by the predicament. 21 lets them go, and they catch a cab home with help from the Monarch. On their way to save the boys, Hatred and Venture pass by Hatred's old home only to find Princess Tinyfeet engaging in S&M play with Private Schwa, among Hatred's other former henchmen. With Hatred overcome with grief, Venture finds Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, and the two reminisce over the various inhabitants of Malice, until she asks if he ever tried calling the boys, much to his chagrin. Hank reveals the two made their way home safely, and he leaves to find Hatred. The Monarch, having been kicked out of his Cocoon's bar for his anaphylactic face, finds 21 lamenting 24's death, before reprimanding him for kidnapping the Venture boys. Back in his room, a hand crosses out the Venture Bros.' name off the list of those responsible for 24's death, when 21 returns to find 24's skull has moved on its own accord.^[4]

The Guild of Calamitous Intent comes under attack by an insane Phantom Limb, who now goes by the name "Revenge", kidnapping Red Mantle of the Guild's Council of 13 in the process. With a kidnapped Billy Quizboy's help, Dragoon's head is surgically attached to Red Mantle to save the two's lives, with the men alluding they are Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper. Phantom Limb has formed the Revenge Society, a rival villainous group consisting of himself; a coffee mug he has named Wisdom who is the team's fix-it-man; a toaster he has named Chuck and believes is a master of the nunchaku and trap dismantling; and Lady Nightshade, a black Ferragamo shoe once belonging to Dr. Mrs. the Monarch. Phantom Limb plans to steal the Orb from the Ventures, when Billy reveals he knows where it is kept. Watch and Ward of the Guild inform David Bowie, who they know is the Sovereign, of the two Councilmen's kidnapping, and Bowie heads to the Venture Compound to stop Phantom Limb from finishing his plan. The Councilmen take Billy onto the compound to find the Orb, leaving Billy behind once they find it. Elsewhere, Hank is taking Hatred on a fruitless chase beneath the Compound on hoverbikes, while David Bowie finds Dr. Venture and Dean. In the final confrontation, Phantom Limb demands control of the Guild, claiming his grandfather Fantômas as its leader, when Bowie says the man was a usurper and the true heir to the Guild is actually Dean Venture, as the Ventures' ancestor was its founder, who officially gives it to Bowie. Phantom Limb prepares to use the Orb, but discovers that it is not working. In a flashback, alluded to in "ORB", Lloyd Venture prepares to use the Orb when his bodyguard Sandow is thought to have killed Venture; in reality, Sandow destroyed the Orb, preventing it from ever falling into the wrong hands. Phantom Limb is captured and Dragoon and Red Mantle take the broken Orb for themselves.^[4]

In the middle of an attack by the Monarch, Dr. Venture's reminder alarm goes off, and he calls off the attack using Guild bylaws to allow him to attend his therapy group. The group, consisting of fellow former Boy Adventurers Action Johnny, former detectives suspected of killing their father Lance & Dale Hale, abandoned robotic creation Ro-Boy, and the former Wonder Boy, are trying to overcome their abusive pasts. However, their therapist is suddenly killed by a snake attracted to the man by snake pheromones in his coffee. Johnny believes someone to be behind the therapist's death, and leads the group to a bar frequented by former henchmen, resulting in a fight. Johnny then leads the group to Dr. Z's house, where he has now settled down with his wife (formerly his beard) who reveals that the group must let go of their past if they ever want to move on. Dr. Venture takes this to heart and realizes that he actually has a family to care about, unlike all of the other failed boy adventurers, and leaves. Elsewhere, Hatred takes the boys out to see a movie, but the theater is crammed with children, which starts to cause his pedophilic urges to manifest. As he is without anymore Nomolestol, the chemical that keeps his urges in line, the boys hatch a plan to retrieve him, all with the Monarch's henchmen's help. Later, 21 notifies the Monarch that he implanted the snake and pheromones at the therapy group, which now allows him to arch Venture more often without the need of the therapy breaks.^[4]
46	7	"The Better Man"	Doc Hammer	December 6, 2009 (2009-12-06)	4–44
The Order of the Triad does battle with Torrid who opens up a portal to the Second World, before being consumed by an elder god. The Order is unable to defeat the beast, until the Outrider appears and saves them. Dr. Orpheus is determined to figure out how the Outrider, the man who stole his wife, is able to pass into the Second World, while Jefferson complains that he is the only one of their group who has no magical ability. When the Outrider is attacked by Torrid once more, Orpheus finds that he must have taken a shortcut into the Second World and calls on Billy to help them find out why. Billy discovers a magical artifact in the Outrider's skull, and removes it, trapping Orpheus, the Alchemist, and Billy in the Second World with the Outrider. However, Jefferson has apparently developed the ability to be between worlds, and helps the men return to the physical world. During this time, Triana enters her closet and finds the chamber holding the Master who informs her of Dean's true nature and implores her to move in with her mother and the Outrider to become a proper sorceress. At the end, Triana leaves the compound, in a way not to break Dean's heart, and Orpheus realizes why his wife left him in the first place.
47	8	"Pinstripes & Poltergeists"	Doc Hammer	December 13, 2009 (2009-12-13)	4–47
The Monarch decides to team up with Monstroso, a Guild member and ruthless lawyer in his newest plan to defeat Dr. Venture. It is an attempt to force Venture to give up his compound as it was built with the sole purpose of good-doing, and if a certain percentage of the land is not in that use, then Monstroso gets the land. However, 21, with 24's apparent ghost guiding him, begins to suspect something is up and finds that Monstroso has double-crossed the Monarch, and will gain all of his assets as well. While Venture plans on leasing some land to Pete White and Billy Quizboy, they find that one of the buildings on the Compound is occupied by SPHINX who, throughout the episode, have been hiding Monstroso's actions from Brock in an attempt to keep him away from the Ventures. 21 decides to take things into his own hands, infiltrating the Venture Compound to stop Monstroso, but comes across Brock, instead. They fight, and 21 is actually a match for Brock, even though Brock ultimately wins. They decide to instead team up and attack Monstroso together to stop his plans to take both the Venture Compound and the Monarch's assets.^[5]
Part 2 (2010)
48	9	"The Diving Bell Vs. The Butter-Glider"	Jackson Publick	September 12, 2010 (2010-09-12)^[6]	4–50
The Monarch and Dr Mrs The Monarch celebrate a recently released from prisons King Gorilla's birthday. When Dr. Venture is suddenly paralyzed, and with the Ventures' submarine missing, they go to SPHINX to use their submarine to go on a Fantastic Voyage style trip into Rusty's body to find the source of the problem, forcing SPHINX to join in because the boys' long-term memories are being affected by the constant brainwashing every time they find SPHINX headquarters again. Inside Venture, Brock, Shore Leave, Hank, and Dean discover a clot formed by the X-3, Venture's submarine, with the corpses of the seventh Hank and Dean at its helm. Brock and the boys take the X-3, while Shore Leave heads back out. Elsewhere, the Monarch has become overly attached to his "Butter-Glider", a new butterfly-themed personal flying device, leading 21 to go on an unofficial attack on the Venture compound, with only Hatred to stop them. With Hatred subdued, the Monarch joins them and lords over the still unconscious Venture, who, thanks to the X-3 within him, attacks the Monarch. The Monarch takes Venture outside when Hatred uses the shrink ray on them, making Venture a giant. Venture's weight proves too much for the Butter-Glider to carry and the body and glider crash to earth. A stunned Monarch sits next to his smashed glider, wondering what happened. Above him, the S.P.H.I.N.X. submersible (now full-size) teeters at the edge of Dr. Venture's eye. It falls off Venture's face and onto a stunned Monarch. Afterward, with Venture back at his normal size, Brock, Hank, and Dean are still trapped in Dr. Venture's body.
49	10	"Pomp and Circuitry"	Jackson Publick	September 19, 2010 (2010-09-19)	4–48
One morning, Hank and Dean are surprised to find out that they have officially graduated from their learning beds, but Hank's diploma is not dispensed. Dr. Venture takes Dean to State University to see the campus, believing he has an in with the administration due to his father's influence, but he learns that the only reason he was spoken with is because the dean thought Venture was his brother Jonas, Jr. Elsewhere, Phantom Limb escapes from the Guild's dungeons to seek out Richard Impossible, who is depressed after Sally has left him. He tasks Richard to take him to State University so he may retrieve his old limb-restoring machinery to restore his missing arm and leg. Back at the compound, Hank attempts to join SPHINX while Brock is away on a mission with his new inept rookie partner. The group does their best to deter his entry, but he seems to bypass every attempt to force him to quit, even using an aluminum foil hat to avoid being brainwashed. In the end, Brock manages to tell Hank SPHINX only admits high school graduates, when the learning bed finally spits out his diploma which had been caught in a paper jam. Enthusiastic that he can join SPHINX, Brock kills the boy's dreams again by saying he has to be 18.
50	11	"Any Which Way But Zeus"	Doc Hammer	September 26, 2010 (2010-09-26)	4–51
The world's super-scientists and super-villains sidekicks have all been kidnapped by a strange force calling himself Zeus. Zeus, with the help of his subordinate Zero, begins a series of battles between the kidnapped men, which include 21, Pete White, Billy, and Captain Sunshine's butler Desmond. However, 21 begins to suspect something is up. The remaining members of O.S.I., SPHINX, the Guild of Calamitous Intent, the newly formed Revenge Society, and other independent villains convene in a secret think tank to solve the mystery of Zeus, who they soon believe is some super-powered being with light-based powers. Dragoon reveals that the man has to be Captain Sunshine, his former archenemy, but not the current one but rather Desmond, who served as the previous Captain Sunshine. At the battles, Henchman 21 has also made this revelation that Zeus is not real and that "Zero" is actually Henchman 1, who 21 previously thought was dead. 21 easily defeats Zero and the location of the kidnapped sidekicks is found. Elsewhere, Dr. Venture has been awaiting his own kidnapping by Zeus, but becomes disheartened when nothing comes of it. Hatred, Hank, and Dean decide to "kidnap" him to make him feel better, and during the "interrogation" Hank demands to know why Dean is being coddled, and Venture reveals that he knows Hank can handle himself as a boy adventurer while Dean would easily fall under the pressure.
51	12	"Everybody Comes to Hank's"	Doc Hammer	October 3, 2010 (2010-10-03)	4–52
With Dean off to New York for a summer internship, Hank is forced by his father to get a job, so he opens his own business by taking things around the house and selling them back at inflated prices. Dermott, working for Hank, realizes that his sister has not picked him up yet, but Hank feels that there is a mystery afoot and goes to his private eye corner, bothering Dermott who finds his own ride home. The Alchemist is intrigued by Hank's film noir detective persona, particularly after he sweet talks Dermott's sister Nicki, and the Alchemist helps him on his new case, determining if Brock is Dermott's father. Despite their investigations, Brock denies having slept with Dermott's mother, but he eventually comes into possession of a set of keys with a Rusty Venture keychain. Disappointed, Hank tries to speak with Dermott but instead finds Nicki who has become attracted to him, and the two have sex. The Alchemist and Dr. Orpheus perform a psychometry spell on the keychain, and discover the truth: Dermott's mother is actually his sister Nicki, and his father is none other than Dr. Venture. Dr. Venture had slept with Nicki, his then fan club president, believing she was at least 18, but later discovers she is pregnant and only 15 years old. Nicki's mother threatens Venture to never come back, and then calms Nicki down, promising they will raise her child as her own. Orpheus and the Alchemist are horrified by the events that unfolded, and the Alchemist later decides not to tell Hank, who is now glowing after having lost his virginity to Nicki. However, he picks up the keychain which has some latent magical essence and sees everything. For his own good, he has his memories of the past several hours erased, including his lost virginity, but before he undergoes the procedure, he records a message to himself revealing the minimal details of what happened. Dean finally comes back from his internship, without their father, when a man resembling their father but with a full head of hair appears from a portal in their bedroom.
52	13	"Bright Lights, Dean City"	Jackson Publick	October 10, 2010 (2010-10-10)	4–53
Dean has gotten an internship with Impossible Industries, which has recently downsized now that Impossible has joined Phantom Limb's Revenge Society alongside Baron Ünterbeit. Dean, however, simply wants to become a reporter rather than a scientist, while Dr. Venture comes to New York to attempt to hit it big with a new Broadway show based on his life, cramping Dean's style. Phantom Limb starts to recruit other members into the Revenge Society, noting their need for an elemental, until Impossible shows him Cody being kept in an oxygenated atmosphere to provide energy to the whole building. Phantom Limb also reveals his diabolical plan to put the Monarch, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, 21, and Dr. Venture to their dooms, suggesting that Tim-Tom and Kevin are actually in his employ. Dr. Venture stays with Dean more, and gains the attention of the Revenge Society who try to take him out, only for their plans to backfire, and for Rusty to be saved by the spider-themed superhero Brown Widow. Dean eventually discovers the villains, and Impossible assures him that he is running a villain rehabilitation service now that he has downsized, and Dean helps coordinate interviews for new candidates, with Fat Chance, a supervillain with a portal in his chest that he can pull things out of, and the duo of Ladyhawk and Lyndon Bee Johnson, separated by a curse that keeps him a bee during the day and her a hawk at night, as new members. That night, Dean finds that his father has blocked off access to the bathroom with his attempt to turn his budding Rust! musical into a roller skate number, while Ünterbeit finds a copy of Rusty's script. Dean feels downtrodden when Brown Widow comes to cheer him up, until he becomes more interested in singing Rusty's musical number. The next day, Dean writes up his resignment letter, having decided he'd rather become a "boy reporter" than a "super-scientist" like his father. Meanwhile Rusty is lured to the Impossitower by Fat Chance, who is posing as an agent interested in his script. The Revenge Society corners Rusty until Dean accidentally frees Cody, causing the power to go out. In the confusion, Fat Chance falls on Rusty, sending him into the strange portal in his stomach. Dean returns home, to see Hank glowing in his realized lost virginity, until both wonder where their father is. The Dr. Venture with the full head of hair suddenly appears in their room, revealing their father had somehow found his way into his dimension and attempted to usurp his place and has come to return him before the other Dr. Venture goes to attend the opening night of his new successful Broadway show.

When Brock discovers Dr. Venture is in his car, attempting to commit suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning, Brock reveals he had converted to electric. However, the group realizes something odd is at play because Rusty is not acting himself. Orpheus realizes someone else is controlling Dr. Venture's body, while elsewhere the Monarch is using a new device to do so, with 21 and Dr. Mrs. the Monarch observing. Dr. Orpheus prepares to astral project into Dr. Venture's mind to free him, but several failed attempts at using the things Venture loves to gain access fail, until he removes both of the sons from the equation. Dr. Orpheus successfully enters Dr. Venture's mind, finding Billy and Pete White as the Freudian personifications of Eros and Thanatos, having to navigate Rusty's mind by means of his id, ego, and super-ego. However, something else lurks in Rusty's mind: the guilt from all of the dead Hanks and Deans. It is these that overwhelm the Monarch controlling Venture, who awakes from his fugue to berate Hatred and Brock for fighting over parenting the boys when it his duty. At the Cocoon, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch and 21 get drunk while watching over the Monarch's lifeless body, and kiss, as well as pose in an oddly sexual position to prevent Tim-Tom and Kevin from finding the Monarch using a device banned by the Guild.
54	15	"The Silent Partners"	Doc Hammer	October 24, 2010 (2010-10-24)	4–54
Billy Quizboy has begun work at a hospital under the name Dr. Phil Donahue where he is lauded as a skilled surgeon, but he lacks the credentials he claims he had. In a worry, he enters a patient's room to find the ailing King Gorilla seemingly killed by the mysterious benefactors who had previously given Conjectural Technologies a substantial payment. Billy returns home worried and saying they need to return the money, but Pete White reassures him until these mysterious benefactors come and kidnap Billy. Pete goes to SPHINX for help, when SPHINX realizes that they were contacted by the Investors, a mysterious group who has killed everyone else they have come in contact with. Brock and Shore Leave track down the Investors' location to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and get help from the former pirate Captain in his boat to get them to the location, as J.J. has used parts from the X-2 to build Gargantua 2. Billy finds himself with Monstroso, who has also made a deal with the Investors, and Billy is to become immortal as a result of his own deal. Billy believes he is going to become a vampire, and later that night is seduced by a group of who he believes to be vampires, while Shore Leave locks onto Billy's location and they all discover Monstroso is related to the Investors as well. The following day, Billy is informed that he simply slept with prostitutes, and Monstroso says that his immortality will be becoming a world-renowned surgeon for performing a life-saving heart transplant on Monstroso using King Gorilla's heart while also receiving the necessary credentials to work as an actual surgeon. Brock and Shore Leave find Monstroso's boat and the Investors, but their individual attacks just phase right through the men. Brock then tracks down Monstroso to find Billy operating, keeping Brock from killing his patient. Later, Monstroso is in recovery, but has been brought to SPHINX headquarters, where Brock asks if he is ready to be killed yet.

Dr. Venture, Brock, Hatred, Pete, Billy, Orpheus, Jefferson, and the Alchemist decide to throw Dean and Hank a prom to celebrate their "graduation". During the events, 21 enters the Venture Compound to bury 24's skull, as he believes the man's ghost needs to be put to rest, but he is subdued by SPHINX's men. 21 discovers Monstroso's body, whose disappearance has disrupted the Guild of Calamitous Intent, and Shore Leave reveals that they have created a series of fake Monstroso bodies to try to negotiate a deal with O.S.I. to remove them from the list of enemy combatants. However, Monstroso's men are attacking the compound, so 21 is conscripted into joining SPHINX on the assault. Brock has taken Hank and Dean to pick up their dates, with Dean picking up Triana. However, Triana has started dating Raven, a pale young man who requires crutches to walk, and Dean becomes jealous. Hank fails to take the family's mailwoman as his date, as well as the Quymn twins, but they find Dermott and he tags along instead. Hunter Gathers and Mile High go to O.S.I.'s flying headquarters to negotiate, having to successfully wrestle General Treister to do so. After winning, Gathers informs Treister that he believes there are Guild moles in O.S.I., before Treister begins to convulse and Mr. Doe and Mr. Cardholder come in to subdue him. Gathers is knocked out, and when he awakes he finds the office destroyed, and Treister encased in an expanding foam and reveals that he believes he has become a "Hulk" after experimental gamma ray chemotherapy to treat his metastatising testicular cancer. At the prom, Dr. Venture has hired a cadre of prostitutes to serve as other members of the group, and after propositioning one of them with his name, discovers that his name is apparently synonymous with some abhorrent sexual act. As everyone tries to figure out what exactly a "Rusty Venture" encompasses, the Alchemist begins to realize he may know Shore Leave, and Dean becomes increasingly jealous of Raven before angering Triana so much she leaves. Brock plans to bed one of the prostitutes in SPHINX's headquarters, but he's tranquilized by Molotov Cocktease, disguised as a SPHINX agent. The Monarch discovers that Tim-Tom and Kevin have been manipulating 21's mind, and the Monarch believes 21 has infiltrated the Venture Compound. He and Dr. Mrs. the Monarch head there to fill out some final paperwork with Dr. Venture, but are halted by Hatred. They have instead brought Princess Tinyfeet with them, and they reveal to him that the only reason she left Hatred was because he would not indulge her S&M fetish. Shore Leave finally reveals to the Alchemist that they had dated, but he had to erase the man's memories after he became too clingy, resulting in his own break up with his boyfriend. After performing their song "Jacket", Dermott and Hank then decide to help Dean win back Triana and leave the prom. Brock chases down Molotov Cocktease as she tries to escape in a limo with the unconscious Monstroso. After a high-speed chase, the limo winds up dangling over the edge of a cliff, with Brock the only one keeping it from falling. Molotov reveals that she is in love with Monstroso, and that her assassins are disguised as the prostitutes back at the prom, who will kill all of Brock's friends if Molotov doesn't call them by midnight. Brock tries to capture Molotov, but she forces him to let go of the limo, seemingly falling to her death with the comatose Monstroso. Brock rushes back to the prom only to find the assassins have not yet attacked the Ventures and their friends, possibly due to Rusty's Spanish fly. However, the women soon mutate into fly creatures as a result of the chemical, leaving Brock to kill them anyway. General Treister continues to talk to Gathers, revealing more about his illness. When alone with Mr. Doe and Mr. Cardholder, the two reveal to Gathers that they are the Guild moles and imprison him in the brig while they go retrieve Monstroso's body. Treister saves him, and says that even SPHINX has moles, with the Monstroso decoy in the flying SPHINX revealed to hold Mile High and O.S.I. operatives. He also mentions that he knows he isn't a "Hulk". Treister then reinstates Gathers' position in O.S.I. and puts him in command, revealing he has decided to send himself out into space to find some alien society that will cure him of his cancer. At the Outrider's house, Hank and Dermott have helped Dean set up a series of wooden letters spelling "TRIANA", and Dean, believing he needs to look spooky to get her back, puts on a "ghost" costume. They set the letters on fire to impress her, but Dermott reveals he only had enough gasoline to let the T burn long enough, resulting in Dean looking like a Ku Klux Klan member burning a cross on the Outrider's lawn. The Outrider comes out to attack him, but realizes it is Dean, and tries to tell Dean that he needs to move on if he truly loves Triana, to which Dean replies: "Fuck you."

Hatred has a heart-to-heart with Dean, who he suspects is cutting himself. Dean alludes to the fact that he has discovered the truth about his cloning and that being the cause of his recent change.

Dr. Venture asks Billy Quizboy and Pete White to accompany him and Hatred to the yearly "Spanakopita" festival held on the small Greek island of Spanakos, as Hank has a Shallow Gravy concert and Dean does not wish to attend, but Billy's archenemy, Augustus St. Cloud, shows up to ruin the fun. An over-confident Rusty bets St. Cloud the X-1 that he will win this year's "Spanakopita Games". However Augustus cheats and Rusty forces Billy and White to deal with Billy's nemesis. Meanwhile, Hatred suspects there is more to Spanakopita than a simple festival and contacts Brock Samson, who tells Hatred there is nothing to worry about. Hatred eventually learns the truth from the local innkeeper Giorgio, who explains they had accidentally kidnapped a young Rusty while stealing from Dr. Venture's boat. They tried to get a ransom for him but the boat was subsequently destroyed in a battle with Venture's nemesis L. Ron, making them unable to contact Dr. Venture. Upon seeing young Rusty crying, they told him it all was part of a festival which they called "Spanakopita". Rusty, unaware of the deception, returned to the island years later as an adult, as his time there was one of the few happy moments of his childhood. The innkeeper also explains during one Spanakopita, Brock had learned the truth as well and kept it a secret from Rusty, which Hatred decides to do as well. Rusty is doomed to lose the final task and the X-1 to St. Cloud, until Pi Wai saves Billy and Pete White from St. Cloud's trap and accidentally loses all of the man's drachma in the process, with Billy winning. St. Cloud says Rusty will not have another Spanakopita, having bought it from Giorgio, but Giorgio assures Dr. Venture that he will always be welcome and that he simply tricked St. Cloud.

Molotov and Monstroso, having survived the events of "Operation P.R.O.M.", are captured by Brock and the O.S.I.. The episode then shifts several days later, as Brock, the Ventures (who were visiting Brock), and members of O.S.I. are interrogated by a trio of government agents over the deaths of Monstroso and Molotov. No one truly has any idea what has happened to Monstroso, as during Brock's interrogation, after he offers to reveal to O.S.I. the identities of high-ranking Guild members, one of whom he reveals as "The Clue Clown", Brock is distracted when the mysterious "Investors" attacks Monstroso, ultimately teleporting him outside O.S.I.'s flying base where he falls to his death. Meanwhile, Molotov escapes restraint and goes on a rampage throughout the base, killing many O.S.I. agents and crippling Hank by stealing his Destiny suit, which his muscles have come to rely on. Brock ultimately defeats Molotov and kills her, but this is revealed to be a ruse told to the government agents. Hunter stops Brock from killing Molotov, revealing that after her arrest he managed to turn Molotov by agreeing to pay her for the service of being a mole. Furthermore, he reveals that he arranged her escape and that the O.S.I. agents she killed were all traitors that Hunter had recently discovered inside the organization. Finally, the three government agents that Brock and the others were retelling the story to are revealed to be the Investors, a fact Hunter and Brock realize far too late.

Hank and Dermott use a prepaid cellphone and talking teddy bear to distract Dr. Venture so they can sneak out at night. Dr. Venture, believing himself a mentor and friend to "Teddy", grows worried when the calls stop. Concerned for "Teddy", Dr. Venture and Sgt. Hatred set out to rescue him. Eventually, they become lost and trapped on the side of a cliff. Hank and Dermott, unwilling to admit their deception to Dr. Venture, decide to find the former voice actor of "Teddy". Former Henchman 21 joins in, informing them that their target is locked up in an asylum for the criminally obsessed. To gain admittance, the trio stage an elaborate bank heist, with H.E.L.P.eR in tow. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Dean has been in contact with Myra Brandish, insane former bodyguard of Dr. Venture and his alleged mother. When Dean visits Myra, she overpowers the guards and escapes, taking Dean with her. As luck would have it, Myra is in the same facility as Hank and 21, who are in the rec room with various inmates, including "Teddy's" voice actor. Once Myra arrives to release her fellow inmates, she reveals her plans to finally give birth to the Venture boys, revealing that she is not in fact the boys' biological mother. Hank and 21 incite the prisoners to rebel, and in the mayhem that follows, Hank, Dean, and 21 escape while "Teddy" rescues Dr. Venture and Sgt. Hatred, who were serendipitously trapped on the cliff just outside the asylum's property. Meanwhile, Dermott (in regular jail with H.E.L.P.eR, failing to meet the criminally obsessed criteria) summons Dr. Orpheus at H.E.L.P.eR's request, seemingly able to understand the robot now. After thwarting the authorities, Orpheus admits coming to Dermott's rescue because he "sensed a Venture boy was in trouble". Dermott deduces that he is Dr. Venture's illegitimate son and reveals this knowledge to Rusty, Hank, and Dean.

After having his identity revealed by Monstroso, The Clue Clown, a.k.a. Councilman #4, turns up dead. Spying at his funeral, O.S.I. discovers a lead on Councilman #1, a cyborg villain named Vendata, and make plans to use Captain Sunshine's old ally Ghost Robot and one of Vendata's personal ads to spy on the Council of Thirteen. At their next meeting, a new Councilman #4 is inducted, and despite the anonymity Dragoon and Red Mantle know it is Phineas Phage. When the meeting adjourns, despite the Sovereign's claim that all of them are spread across the globe, the Councilmembers all step out of their booths and decide to meet at fellow Councilman Don Hell's nightclub, but several members, including Vendata, decline to attend. Ghost Robot's undercover date with Vendata ultimately leads him to the same club, forcing Brock and Shore Leave to disguise themselves as villains to enter as well. Vendata ditches Ghost Robot at the club, leaving Brock to pick him up. Meanwhile, Rusty and Billy tail Brock, having suspected he went to a costume party, and are captured by the Guild. As they attempt to flee with Ghost Robot, Brock is first forced to attack Vendata and rip off several of his robotic parts, then turn back to try and save Rusty and Billy from a torture game, aided by Shore Leave cutting down the club's disco ball. Rusty is saved, however, when the Monarch and Dr. Mrs. the Monarch show up and invoke Guild law that only he can legally harm Rusty, with Dr. Mrs. the Monarch proving her greater knowledge of Guild law. The club empties out, leaving the Monarch and Rusty alone together, but before the Monarch can do anything the disco ball falls and seemingly kills Dr. Venture. For her service to the Guild, the Sovereign offers Dr. Mrs. the Monarch the chance to replace Vendata as Councilman #1, but she asks for more time to consider. Meanwhile, the members of the Revenge Society are watching the proceedings via a secret spy feed with Dr. Henry Killinger.

With Dr. Venture apparently dead and carried off by the Monarch, Hatred sends the boys to their godparents. Colonel Gentleman tries to accustom Dean to his way of life while Hank helps the Action Man bury Dr. Entmann and seduce fellow retiree Rose. Dr. Venture, having survived the accident, is threatened by Dr. Mrs. The Monarch to 'play along' with the Monarch's upcoming tortures. Hatred and Gary infiltrate the Monarch's cocoon and find Dr. Venture. After being saved Hatred starts calling Gary his best friend but he's kidnapped by Kevin, tricked into believing Gary betrayed him and kicked out of the Cocoon. Gary realizes The Monarch appreciated his role as a Henchman and discovers the Pupae Twins have taken over in his absence. Gary convinces the other Henchmen that the Pupae Twins were the one who killed 24 and they overthrow them. The Monarch's tortures amount to nothing despite Dr. Venture's best efforts to play along. Seemingly depressed the Monarch lets him go and Dr. Venture leaves dejected. Colonel Gentleman realizes he's lost interest in living in Morocco and decides to take Dean back to the compound. Hank realizes Rose is Billy Quizboy's mother and convinces her to meet up with her estranged son. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch realizes that Venture has escaped but the Monarch triumphantly reveals that the torture he had planned was emotional, rather than physical, all along. Gary returns to rejoin the Monarch. As Dr. Venture hitchhikes home, Hatred blows up the Cocoon with his hovertank which, in turn, destroys the Monarch's home. The three then move into the Monarch's run down childhood home. At Dr. Entmann's funeral Colonel Gentleman invites the Action Man and Rose to move in with him in the States. Hank talks to Dean to find out what is wrong with him, and Dean admits that he has learned they are clones, but this does not upset Hank and he thinks it is cool, raising Dean's spirits.

Set before the start of the sixth season. Jonas Jr. opens the Gargantua-2 space station as a casino resort and invites many of his associates to visit it. Brock also travels there, having learned that J.J. made a deal with the Investors to fund the station. Killinger sends the newly-trained Revenge Society—which now includes Radical Left and Zero as members—on a mission to rob the Gargantua casino, while the Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend and 21 nearly catch the Society hiding out in the Monarch's childhood home. Dr. Girlfriend is summoned away to a meeting of the Council of 13, but all the other Councilmen are killed aside from Dr. Z and Red Mantle/Dragoon, who have disappeared, while Phage, Monseñor and Mommy Longlegs make it to the meeting with Dr. Girlfriend. They are horrified to learn that the Sovereign plans to destroy Gargantua-2 and kill everyone aboard, and all tender their resignations; Monseñor is killed by gas, but the others escape with aid from Watch and Ward, though Mommy Longlegs dies of a gunshot during their escape. The Monarch learns of Phantom Limb's plan and sets off with 21 to Gargantua-2; both they and the other members of the Revenge Society are unaware that Phantom Limb is actually working for the Sovereign in exchange for seats on the Council for the entire Revenge Society. J.J. reveals to Rusty that he has cancer and is dying. The Investors double-cross Phantom Limb and destroy Gargantua-2's shields, leaving everyone aboard the station to die, but Rusty, Dean, and J.J. work together to repair the shields. While attempting to open one of the locked doors, Treister—who was found floating in space, brought to the Gargantua-2, and revived—grows angry and actually turns into a "Hulk", likely as a result of the massive amounts of gamma radiation he receive while in space, and uses his super strength to pry open the door so that J.J. can slip past. Brock kills Zero, while the original Team Venture fight off the rest of the Revenge Society with help from Billy's mother Rose. Killinger does battle with the Investors, who are his inhuman brothers, and successfully kills them. Red Mantle, Dragoon, and Dr. Z surrender to the OSI and request pardons in exchange for their help stopping the Sovereign, who has imprisoned the dying Dr. Girlfriend and set his headquarters to self-destruct. She is rescued by Watch and Ward, while the Sovereign is accidentally killed in his eagle form by Headshot. The Ventures restore the shields but Gargantua's nuclear core fails; J.J. and Treister sacrifice themselves to send the core into space while the station's guests evacuate. Killinger brings the Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend, 21, Radical Left, Watch and Ward together with Phantom Limb, heals Dr. Girlfriend's injuries, and reveals that he engineered the entire plot to stop the Sovereign and save the Guild, creating a new Council of 13 with his pawns in the plan, excluding the Monarch. In an epilogue posted to Adult Swim's website, J.J.'s will is read on the grounds of the Venture Compound, which has been destroyed by fire. Rusty passes out when he learns that J.J. left his multi-billion dollar business empire for him, including a new compound in New York City.

Dean decides to apply for college while Hank embraces the life of a rich playboy; while ziplining, Hank crashes into the side of Wide Wale's building and encounters his daughter Sirena for the first time. Brock is reinstated as the family's bodyguard by General Gathers, leaving Sergeant Hatred crushed. Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, Phantom Limb, Red Mantle/Dragoon (now known as "Red Dragoon"), Dr. Z and Radical Left try to restore the stability of the Guild following the deaths of the Sovereign and several members of the Council of 13. In an attempt to secure the support of the Guild's New York branch, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch negotiates with Wide Wale, who has great influence on New York's resident villains. The Monarch and 21 travel to New York to "arch" Dr. Venture but fail to do so. As a result of Dr. Mrs. the Monarch's negotiations, she is forced to officially sanction Wide Wale as Doctor Venture's new archenemy.

Elsewhere, Dr. Venture takes stock of the resources left behind by J.J. to determine how to bring Venture Industries forward, and deals with a sharp drop in the company's stock price brought on by his firing of its staff. Wide Wale attacks Venture's building with his men, only to be pranked by Brock and Sgt. Hatred, the latter of whom has taken a job as a security guard in order to remain close to the Venture family. The Monarch, angered by Wide Wale's contract to supersede him as Dr. Venture's archenemy, accidentally discovers a secret lair beneath his home that nobody knew was even there. The Monarch attends the party but is swiftly intercepted by Wide Wale, who ejects him due to his wearing his supervillain costume. Another villain, Copycat, intervenes and offers the Monarch a suit, but uses the opportunity to knock out the Monarch and steal his costume. Using his power to duplicate himself, Copycat breaks into the Venture building on Wide Wale's behalf to trick Dr. Mrs. the Monarch and the rest of the members of the Council of Thirteen into thinking the Monarch blew off the party to illegally arch Dr. Venture. Hank is called to the building for his new pizza delivery job, where he encounters Wide Wale's daughter Sirena, the same girl he encountered several times previously. Sirena ignores her bodyguards' objections and makes a date with Hank. Meanwhile, Brock tries to help Dean cram for his entrance exams. While showering, Dean is infected by a puddle of nanorobotic liquid accidentally freed from J.J.'s vault by Billy. Billy and Pete experiment with what they think is a tutorial for the device, causing Dean to suffer a heart attack, develop super strength, and exhibit hyperintelligence. Some time later, Dean urinates out most of the nanomachines, but Dr. Venture is revealed to have kept some in his brain and calls Dean passing his exams the new Venture Industries' first miracle.

With his relationship with his wife continuing to sour, the Monarch struggles to come to terms with the truth about his father. Meanwhile, Dr. Venture, Billy and Pete try to come up with an invention to present at a conference J.J. had scheduled an appearance at prior to his death. After rejecting several of Billy and Pete's proposals, Dr. Venture discovers the existence of "God Gas," a gaseous weapon capable of making targets susceptible to mind control, and enthusiastically orders testing. Harangutan, a brutish supervillain, attacks the building and injures Sgt. Hatred, then gets into a war of egos with Brock until Warriana, one of the members of the mercenary superhero group, interferes. When Harangutan returns, Venture uses the God Gas on him and accidentally exposes Billy and Brock to it as well. Under the influence of the gas, Brock hallucinates Warriana as an actual goddess and goes to her apartment for a tryst, while Harangutan suffers a mental breakdown and violently attacks Billy. The Monarch and 21-—having adopted the Blue Morpho and Kano identities for themselves in order to eliminate competition to the Monarch's claim on arching Venture—-intervene, kill Harangutan and rescue Billy, who mistakes the Blue Morpho's identity as Dr. Venture himself. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch catches the Monarch and 21 when they return home, angrily believing that he went out on "date night" with 21 to spite her. The Monarch allows her to believe this in order to hide his activity as the Blue Morpho.

Continuing from the previous episode, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch investigates the death of Harangutan and discovers the Blue Morpho's role, though she doubts Billy's belief that the hero exists. Meanwhile, while trying to deal with the fallout of the God Gas scandal, Dr. Venture is arched by his latest nemesis, a criminal genius known as Think Tank who is also Dean's college professor. Think Tank attempts to engage Venture in a game of chess, only to fail when he learns Venture does not play the game. Brock fights Think Tank and is shot off the building, only to be saved by Warriana, who assists him in destroying Think Tank's armor. Elsewhere, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch travels to an impound yard with Battleaxe to retrieve her late husband's "Harangutank", only to run into the Monarch and 21, who are retrieving the Morpho Mobile in their disguises. She is unable to identify them, but gives chase when they escape. Battleaxe then discovers Dr. Mrs. the Monarch laptop showing surveillance of Harangutan's death and begins driving to the Venture building to avenge her husband when she believes Venture is the Blue Morpho. A series of events results in Battleaxe colliding with Think Tank and driving into the hole where Harangutan died, wounding Think Tank and Battleaxe. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch sees the Morpho Mobile fly over the Venture building but then loses sight of it; when Venture looks over the side of the building, she believes he is the Blue Morpho. She returns home and apologizes to the Monarch for her recent actions, declaring that she knows who her true enemy is.

A team of avant-garde supervillains known as "The Doom Factory" get an opportunity to arch Dr. Venture, and announce their attack to take place on the same night as Hank's date with Sirena. Hank ignores Brock's orders to stay secured in the building and recruits Dean, Billy and Pete to assist him in impressing her. Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch struggles to convince the rest of the Council that Dr. Venture is the Blue Morpho. The Monarch tricks her and uses one of the Blue Morpho's darts to sedate her, giving himself and 21 time to find and destroy the Doom Factory's underwater base in Brooklyn. Brock searches for Hank only to find that he and Sirena have disappeared, and is forced to team up with one of Wide Wale's henchmen to find them. They track the two to a ninja-themed restaurant where Brown Widow works, only to leave shortly before Brock arrives to go swimming by the Statue of Liberty. The Monarch and 21 set explosives at the Doom Factory's base, but the Monarch gets stuck when trying to escape. The base, which is actually a flying saucer, heads to the Venture building, where the Doom Factory has robbed Dr. Venture of many of his inventions. The Monarch falls off the saucer as it leaves, only for the explosives to suddenly detonate, killing the entire Doom Factory. He comes face to face with Venture, who once again does not recognize him. Later, the Monarch fakes being tranquilized by the Blue Morpho himself to hide his activity from his wife. Phantom Limb contacts her and admits that the Blue Morpho is real before asking her what she needs to eradicate him.

Meanwhile, as the Guild prepares a response to destroy the Blue Morpho, the Monarch heads to arch his newly-assigned nemesis. In order to divert suspicion away from himself, the Monarch has 21 — who recalls how he was kidnapped by the Monarch's henchmen years ago and joined them — become the Blue Morpho and kill his next target. Dr. Z reveals that due to a sexual encounter in the 1970s he had with the original Blue Morpho, who was undercover as Billie Jean King on Jonas's orders, he knows that the Blue Morpho will do anything for the Venture family. Dr. Venture plans a party for Lambert, and his efforts to find a suitable outfit result in him unwittingly acquiring the Blue Morpho's suit. He goes out to watch a lunar eclipse in the suit, resulting in the events at the beginning of the episode. However, Venture survives the shot due to the suit having a bulletproof vest embedded in it. The Monarch carries out his arching as instructed, and 21, despite hesitating, appears to kill the Blue Morpho's next target. As a result, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch and the rest of the Guild conclude that the Blue Morpho is neither the Monarch nor Venture.

In order to destroy the Blue Morpho, the Guild joins forces with the OSI to conduct a sting operation using Dr. Venture's next arching, by supernatural assassin Red Death, as bait. Fearing Red Death, who is known for killing every time he arches, 21 tries to discourage the Monarch from targeting him. The Monarch ignores 21's concerns and tries to kill Red Death in a park, only to be charmed by the supervillain, who recognizes him as the Monarch. While Venture, Billy and Pete hide with Colonel Gentleman, Action Man and Rose, Hank and Dean go with Shore Leave for a night on the town. With the Venture family impersonated by members of the Guild and OSI, Red Death arrives on his flying horse and engages Brock in combat. When the Blue Morpho does not show, both sides decide to have a party instead. Red Death receives a call from the Blue Morpho — who is using a voice changer — threatening him to sign away his arching rights on Venture in exchange for the safety of his wife and daughter. Red Death becomes furious and invades the Morpho Cave, where he discovers the Blue Morpho is the Monarch and learns the threat was a bluff. Reverting to his gentle persona, Red Death advises the Monarch that rules give villains the ability to do what they love, urging him to finish his work and come to a conclusion about who he really is. As she leaves the Venture building, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch expresses anger at the Blue Morpho standing her up and swears she will find him and kill him herself. It is also revealed that 21 was not killing any of the villains arching Dr. Venture, as previously believed, but instead locking them in a secret bathroom in the Morpho Cave, where one had gone mad and killed the others.

Season 7 (2018)

For the show's seventh season, creator Jackson Publick stepped back from directing the series, assuming the role of supervising director. Two-time directing partner and storyboard director for season six, Juno Lee, took over as the series director. Barry J. Kelly also served as Lee's co-director.

In order to get closer to Sirena, Hank revives an old persona and asks to join Wide Wale's syndicate. Wide Wale decides to offer him a chance to join, but asks Hank to first prove himself by killing the Blue Morpho, who has been captured by Wide Wale's organization. Dean requests Orpheus, the Alchemist and Jefferson Twilight come to New York to try and help solve the problem in the tower, but they are unable to make much progress with their supernatural approach. An offhand comment about the virus by Billy causes the original Team Venture to rush to VenTech Tower, where they reveal the horrifying truth to Dr. Venture — the ProBLEM Light from Gargantua-1, which was recovered by J.J. and placed in VenTech Tower as a decorative piece, contains the remains of Jonas Sr.'s body and has been maintaining his life over the decades he was believed to be dead; Jonas is the source of the "virus." Just as Dr. Venture is reunited with his father, a disturbed White breaks in and smashes some of Jonas's mechanical organs, causing Jonas to go on a rampage.

Gary oversleeps and misses his role as Kano in the Monarch's plan to have the Blue Morpho confront Wide Wale, leading to his capture as seen in the previous episode. Wide Wale reveals that he knows the Monarch is the Blue Morpho, explaining his origin story as the younger brother of Dr. Dugong and that he wants revenge against his brother's killer. Meanwhile, the Council temporary suspends all Guild arching activities and initiates a manhunt for the Blue Morpho, prompting Red Death to request a seat on the Council in exchange for bringing the Blue Morpho back, dead or alive. Gary reveals the truth to Dr. Mrs. the Monarch and they decide to enlist Red Death's aid for an operation to save the Monarch. The three break into an O.S.I. Dummy Corporation, and while Dr. Mrs. the Monarch searches for a certain file, Red Death reveals that he was present for the "Movie Night" incident aboard Garguantua-1 in the 1980s, where the Guild tried to carry out a hostage situation aboard the station only for someone to mysteriously open the bay doors, causing mass casualties in the vacuum of space. Gary (dressed as Kano) and Dr. Mrs. the Monarch infiltrate Wide Wale's building as Hank tries to join the syndicate, leading to them all confronting each other when Hank is unable to kill the Monarch. Red Death arrives with a still-living Dr. Dugong, who survived his seemingly fatal injury thanks to his starfish DNA regenerating his head. Being reunited with his brother ends Wide Wale's ambition to kill the Monarch for revenge, despite Dugong's disgust with Wide Wale's lifestyle. Suddenly, VenTech Tower seemingly starts to move as Jonas begins to rampage in its lobby, and the Morpho Mobile unexpectedly descends to allow an unidentified Blue Morpho to enter the building.

Jonas' rampage is halted by Vendata, who has dressed as the Blue Morpho and commandeered the Morphomobile. It is revealed in flashback that during the OSI's raid on Don Hell's nightclub, Brock damaged Vendata's programming, triggering memories of his life as the original Blue Morpho and prompting him to return to New York in search of Jonas. Vendata plugs himself into the VenTech mainframe and meets with Jonas inside the computer. Jonas and the Blue Morpho (real name: Don Fitzcarraldo) had originally been close friends, though it is revealed this relationship became strained as Jonas began blackmailing Don to do his dirty work and possibly impregnated his wife with the Monarch after Don's apparent display of infertility, possibly making the Monarch Jonas' son and Rusty's brother. When Don and his wife were killed in a plane crash, Jonas resurrected him as the cyborg Venturion, and was subsequently reprogrammed as Vendata by Dr. Z. Meanwhile, Red Death explains to Brock and the Council of 13 that he participated in a raid on Gargantua-1 alongside Vendata. Upon entering the station, Vendata apparently deactivated the airlock, forcing the entire crew including Jonas into space, killing them. Back at VenTech, the Monarch and Gary break into the foyer with the intent of killing Vendata and framing him as the man responsible for the deaths of the villains killed by them and Red Death. Jonas attempts to persuade Billy to transplant his brain into Vendata's body, but they are interrupted by the Monarch. Don and Jonas notice the Monarch as he enters the room and Don calls him by his real name (Malcom). Jonas and Don begin to attack one another within the computer, causing Vendata's rockets to activate, sending both Vendata and the ProBLEM machine containing Jonas' head flying through out of VenTech and into the air. Recognizing his father, the Monarch chases them and is caught in their flight. Though the Monarch's landing is cushioned by an enormous Rusty Venture balloon inflated for the Thanksgiving Day parade, Vendata and Jonas are both rendered out of commission by the fall. A confused Monarch shares one look with his father before he shuts down and is hailed a hero by the Council for killing the Blue Morpho. As the Venture family gathers to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade the next day, OSI asks Rusty to turn Jonas's head over to them for "research".

The Monarch is fully reinstated as a supervillain by the Guild, but an inspection by Dr. Z results in him being classed at only rank 5 and thus prohibits him from arching Dr. Venture. Seeking to acquire funding to rebuild his organization, he and Gary try and fail to rob a bank. Meanwhile, Dean moves out of VenTech Tower to live at college with his roommate Brown Widow, and Dr. Venture is badly injured while presenting J.J.'s hover belt to the board of Venture Industries, resulting in his hospitalization. Dean, wishing to get out of the life of a super scientist, expresses his desire to leave the classes his father signed him up for, but his professor convinces him to try one class, which ends up being a botany course in which his only classmate is Sirena. Dean's professor also happens to be the Monarch's next assigned arch, and when the Monarch and Gary invade the class, Dean loses his temper and writes the Monarch a million dollar check to leave him alone. Dean begins to bond with Sirena over their shared lives as the children of parents involved in the world of super scientists and supervillains. Hank visits Dr. Venture in the hospital and confesses that he always wanted his father to favor him, but is frustrated that nothing he does seems to get Dr. Venture's attention away from Dean. However, Dr. Venture is heavily medicated and does not understand what Hank tells him. Hank discovers Stars and Garters singing to Dr. Venture's roommate at the hospital, the comatose Dr. Nidaba. With the money from Dean's check, the Monarch wins an award from the Council for highest earning supervillain and gains a promotion to rank 6.

The OSI, Guild of Calamitous Intent and Venture family gather at the remains of the Venture Compound for the signing of the Treaty of Tolerance: an agreement ensuring that the OSI and Guild can maintain a stable relationship of aggression and opposition. While Rusty oversees the renegotiation of the treaty, Dean goes to visit Ben's cabin, while Hank is led away by an OSI operative revealed to be Dermott (who despite having no formal combat training was allowed to join the OSI after his father, Rusty, put in a good word for him). At Ben's cabin, Dean discovers a red H.E.L.P.eR model capable of speech. H.E.L.P.eR Model Two briefly expresses concern that he has let slip Dean is a clone and explains that the H.E.L.P.er bots were mass produced by Jonas Venture before an event referred to as "the Great Recalling" where they were destroyed by the public or otherwise decommissioned (leaving only himself and the original H.E.L.P.eR). Back at the Venture Compound, Hank and Dermott reflect on old times before they are interrupted by OSI operative Kimberly McManus and Guild Stranger S-464 who have entered the hanger to have sex, though this is cut short when the OSI operative discovers the letters "PP" on the Stranger's belt (misinterpreted as "pee-pee" by Hank and Dermott). Meanwhile, the OSI and Guild have become increasingly hostile as the night has progressed, with both sides unable to agree to the other's terms. Eventually Rusty snaps and demands that, regardless of what each side considers fair, the two organisations must come to some kind of agreement. The OSI and Guild begrudgingly agree, and the revised treaty is finally signed. As Dean prepares to leave, H.E.L.P.er Model Two refers to him as "Rusty", implying either that like his son, Rusty is a clone or that Dean is a clone of his father. With this knowledge, Dean reconciles with his father while Dr. Mrs The Monarch realises that "PP" are the initials of a rival organisation, the Peril Partnership, and that the Guild has a mole in its ranks.

The Monarch and Gary enroll as teachers in the Big Villain program with the Guild of Calamitous Intent in order to improve their rank. Eventually they to decide to train Augustus St. Cloud, a rank 1, in the ways of villainy upon realising that his position as Billy's arch will allow them to get close to Rusty. Billy and Pete begin receiving death threats from St. Cloud as part of the Guild's standard hazing routine, prompting Rusty and Brock to train the pair in preparation for any actual aggression they might face. St. Cloud proves to be an incredibly ineffective arch, displaying no discernible intelligence or skill, aside from his enormous wealth. He is unable to make a menacing entrance, cannot perform an effective evil laugh and his mission to gather intel on Billy ends in his violent assault at the hands of Colonel Gentleman and Billy's mother Rose. Meanwhile, S-464 agrees to become a double agent for the Guild, and with the help of Dr. Mrs The Monarch, Dr. Z, Watch and Ward, attempts to win back Kimberly. Dr. Mrs The Monarch decides to use St. Cloud's arching of Billy and Pete to stage a meeting between the two; swapping out St. Cloud's rank 1 lightning rifle with a rank 6, violating the Treaty of Tolerance, and prompting Kimberly to intervene, thus providing S-464 with a chance to make amends. The arching goes disastrously, with St. Cloud eventually gassing himself and Billy and Pete with mildly hallucinogenic laughing gas (leading Billy and Pete to believe that they had an enormous fight with St. Cloud), however S-464 successfully rekindles his relationship with Kimberly.

Rusty, Pete and Billy successfully create a teleportation device which they accidentally test on The Pirate Captain, thus proving its efficiency. A member of a supervillain team led by Copycat spies the device and reports the successful test to his team before he is crushed by Brock. The Monarch reluctantly accepts to fill in for the recently deceased member in a heist on VenTech to secure the device (despite knowing nothing about the heist or what his role will be) on the promise that his rank will be bumped up. An elated Rusty is cautioned by Hunter Gathers that he must destroy the teleporters for fear of disrupting the world order. Unable to convince him, Gathers introduces Rusty to a council of anonymous, shadowy figures who claim to be the true leaders of the world. They invite Rusty to meet them in person, promising him wealth and limitless power, explaining that he will see things their way by the end of the night. Rusty discovers that the meeting is an enormous masked orgy where a collection of the world's elite engage in debauchery and cannibalism. Horrified, Rusty flees into a courtyard where he meets a naked Dr. Mrs. The Monarch (though he is unable to place her because of her mask) who tells him to wait for her in the tapestry room. Waiting for her to arrive, Rusty is instead greeted by a red-robed figure who tells him that the world is a better place under their careful control, and reiterates his offer to Rusty in the form of "The Lady" (Dr. Mrs. The Monarch). If Rusty refuses, the figure presents him with the option of "Tiger" (a hulking figure wearing a bladed strap-on dildo), pointing out that in this world "it's fuck or be fucked". The heist on VenTech ends disastrously, with Gary discovering that Copycat simply used Monarch and the rest of the villains (most of whom wind up killed) as a distraction so that he and his doubles could successfully make off with the teleporters while Brock and Hatred are distracted. However, through sheer accident, The Monarch and Gary are able to escape into the subway with both teleporters. Rusty accepts the figure's offer and begins to participate in the orgy, not realizing that everything he saw that night, including the sex he is currently enjoying, was nothing more than a simulation set up by Brock and Gathers, who quips: "Get a nerd laid and they think they're masters of the universe."

Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, Red Death and Phantom Limb meet Blind Rage, a representative of the Peril Partnership, at Vincenzo's. Blind Rage informs them that Wide Wale has ceased paying his kickbacks to the Peril Partnership and threatens war with the Guild if the payments do not resume. At another table, Dr. Venture and Night Dick discuss a black widow who Venture is planning on initiating a relationship with, despite Night Dick's warnings. After the Council votes to resume the payments to the Peril Partnership, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch reveals that she has discovered a rule in the original Guild charter that Council members cannot be active villains any longer. Watch and Ward distribute their selections for the Council's final arches: Dr. Z is sent to arch Johnny, and visits the rehab facility where he now lives, only for the two mortal enemies to finally make peace with each other. Radical Left's assigned arch is Right Wing, who he "absorbed" in the past to create his own dual personas, and the "two" arch each other over a game of Clue. Red Mantle and Dragoon put off opening their envelope until finishing their dinner and watching several episodes of Downton Abbey, only to learn that all their enemies are deceased. Wide Wale receives Curtis Sliwa and sends Rocco to beat him up. Phantom Limb meets his arch, General Gathers, at Central Park for a literal penis-measuring contest. Red Death discards his assigned arch without reading it and instead ties Blind Rage to a railroad track using the kickback payment as a pretext, warning him that the Guild "doesn't deal with punks." Finally, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch is assigned to Novia, an old enemy from her days as Lady Au Pair, and brings Gary along in the place of the now-deceased Moppets only to discover that she is the black widow visiting Dr. Venture. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch becomes emotionally overwhelmed when she confronts Novia, breaks down and vomits, though she succeeds in stealing Novia's wallet. Dr. Venture's planned seduction fails, as the various antidotes Brock dosed him with in preparation leave him a mess. With the final archings complete, Phantom Limb, Dr. Z, Red Death, Red Mantle, Dragoon and Radical Left retire as supervillains and accept their places on the Council, while Wide Wale resigns, unable to give up his vendettas. Dr. Mrs. the Monarch struggles with her decision and her choice is not revealed.

New York is hit by an enormous blizzard, revealed to have been generated by a weather machine stolen from the Guild of Calamitous Intent. Rusty is contacted by the OSI and tasked with disabling the device, reluctantly taking an enthusiastic Billy with him when no one else at VenTech is willing to help. Meanwhile, the Monarch and Gary are tasked by Dr. Z and Dr. Mrs The Monarch with assassinating the leader of a splinter faction within the Peril Partnership who they believe to be responsible for the snowstorm as well as the general unrest between the two organisations. Back at VenTech, an increasingly erratic Hank decides to go out into the blizzard in search of Sirena after repeated attempts to contact her over the phone, despite warnings from Hatred that he might be smothering her. While outside, Hank jumps head-first into a mound of snow, knocking himself out. The Monarch and Gary reach the shore where they encounter the leader of the rogue faction: a former OSI operative expelled for getting several boy scouts killed during a mission, now an insane collector of superhero and supervillain memorabilia (including The Monarch's butter glider) who invites them to play "the most dangerous game", revealed to be lawn darts which the three must throw directly into the air and dodge as they fall back down. As the Collector throws the final dart, the trio are distracted by Rusty, dressed in a tuxedo and a lifering from the Titanic, and Billy, sporting a huge beard and dressed as a Confederate soldier, emerging from a time machine amongst the Collector's possessions. This Rusty refers to The Monarch as "Malcom" as the lawn dart falls and impales the Collector through the top of the skull, causing Rusty and Billy to return to the time machine in an attempt to fix the mistake. The present Rusty and Billy reach the weather machine, which they eventually disable with the help of a heat-regulating suppository given to Billy by Rusty at the beginning of the episode. The two men then discover S-464 piloting the weather machine as a way to get his girlfriend Kimberly to notice him. A concussed Hank is rescued by Scare Bear (seen auditioning for a position with The Revenge Society in Episode 52, as well as in background cameos) and taken to Dean's dormitory, where he discovers Dean and Sirena in bed together, naked. Bleeding heavily from the forehead, Hank briefly expresses disbelief at the situation, noting that he is glad Dean and Sirena can also see the bear, before collapsing. S-464 winds up in the custody of the Guild, apparently through a prisoner exchange with OSI. Back at the Guild's New York base of operations, Kimberly discovers that S-464's memory has been erased and his behaviour has been altered in order to ensure that he will conform within the Guild.

A team of Guild operatives break into VenTech with the teleporter stolen by The Monarch and abduct Rusty. Rusty is taken aboard Meteor Majeure along with The Monarch and Gary to perform a bizarre re-enactment of the trials of Saphrax: the world's first supervillain as part of the ritual The Monarch must perform upon reaching Level 10 within the Guild. In secret, Watch and Ward run DNA tests on Rusty, confirming that he is a blood relative of The Monarch. A comatose Hank wanders through a frozen dreamscape dressed as Lando Calrissian, encountering The Action Man dressed as Mark Hand (leading to a debate about whether Barbarella or The Empire Strikes Back is the superior science fiction film), who believes that the two are in a kind of purgatory. The Action Man lets slip that Hank and Dean's mother was an actress who filed a restraining order against Rusty, preventing The Action Man from sharing her name. The two are eventually ambushed by the Wampa who takes them back to its cave whereupon they are rescued by a winged Dr. Phineas Phage, whose lower body has been replaced with an AT-AT. He takes the two to a glowing lake which the Action Man believes to be the Matmos and Hank believes to be the Force. Believing that doing so will wake him up from his coma (and make him more of a man), Hank launches himself into the lake, with Phage noting that he displays symptoms of ADHD. At the hospital where Hank has been taken, Dean is informed by a nurse that Hank has disappeared. Wracked with guilt and worried for his brother's safety, Dean rushes out into the street where Hank narrates that he has to leave his family in order to grow up (disguising his identity with his Batman mask). During the trials, Gary is apparently promoted to a Level 4 supervillain and the Monarch is given the chance to kill Rusty, however the Monarch is unable to follow through. He complains that the Guild have taken everything from him - his wife, his best friend and now his arch nemesis - and is about to quit along with Gary, who declares that he is "Hench 4 Life", when Red Mantle reveals that this was all an elaborate ruse to see if the Monarch truly was worthy of Level 10 status. Having killed all of the Guild operatives, Brock threatens to come aboard Meteor Majeure and take Rusty back by force. Watch and Ward enter the ritual room to retrieve Rusty whereupon Watch, unable to contain himself, reveals that Rusty and The Monarch are related by blood, leaving The Monarch to scream: "Are you kidding me!?"
