Iain Lewers (born 5 January 1984) in Belfast, Northern Ireland is an international field hockey player who played as a defender for England and Great Britain, until 2016. [1]

He currently plays club hockey in the EHL Premier Division for Wimbledon. [2]

Lewers made his Great Britain debut in 2011, and competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics. He also competed for England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where they won Bronze.[3][4]

Lewers is a former pupil of Wellington College Belfast.[5]

He has also played club hockey for Holcombe, East Grinstead and Loughborough, as well as HGC in the Netherlands, Annadale, and Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hockey India League.[6]

He was awarded the Player of the Tournament at the 2013 EuroHockey Nations Championships and Hockey Writers' Club UK player of the year for 2014.[3][7]
