IMS Group is a local conglomerate company based in Nepal. It primarily deals with distributing international mobile handsets throughout the nation. It was appointed the official distributor of Samsung mobile handsets in Nepal in 2001.[1][2] The company has also acquired a dealership of the international automobile giant Ssangyong for Nepal, and is constantly expanding its services towards real estate, automobiles, jewelries and consulting.[1][3][4][5][6]. In 2018, IMS Group acquired the national distributorship for DJI, the world’s leader in commercial and civilian drone industry in Nepal. [7] [7]. In addition, IMS Group also became the sole distributor of America’s No.1 Selling baby bottle and a leading brand for baby products Dr. Brown's in the same year. [8]

Overview

IMS Group was established in 1993 by entrepreneur Deepak Malhotra. He rose from petty trades to the entrepreneurship in the late 1970s.[1] It has been the official distributor of Samsung mobile phones in Nepal since 2001. The network spans over 37 Regional distributors and 1,300 retail outlets across 72 districts of Nepal.[2][9]

It has expanded its operations over many her sectors in the last decade. The ventures range from Real estate, business consulting, consumer goods, automobiles to telecommunications.[1][10][11] IMS Group has over 20 companies under its banner. Its reach extends to the multitude in the multiple forms of services it provides through IMS, IMS Care, IMS Connect, IMS SMart, IMS Consultancy, IMS Motors, IMS Telecom, IMS Teletime, IMS Little Smiles, IMS Developers, IMS Energy, and Silver Valley.
