Hoy is a brand that is used for Spanish-language newspapers in Chicago, San Diego and Los Angeles. The Chicago newspaper is owned by Tronc, Inc. and the Los Angeles and San Diego newspapers are owned by Patrick Soon-Shiong. Hoy and Hoy Fin de Semana have a combined weekly distribution of nearly 1.8 million copies nationally. Hoy claims to be the largest Spanish-language daily newspaper in Chicago, and the Los Angeles Hoy Fin de Semana product is the largest home-delivered Spanish-language newspaper in the nation.

On February 12, 2007, ImpreMedia announced its purchase of Hoy's New York edition. Hoy's Chicago and Los Angeles publications were not affected by the transaction.[1] The New York Hoy was later merged into El Diario La Prensa. In 2018, Patrick Soon-Shiong purchased Hoy Los Ángeles and Hoy San Diego as part of his purchase of the assets related to the Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune.
