Hioki (日置市, Hioki-shi) is a city in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.

As of May 1, 2010, the city had a population of 51,819[1] and a population density of 205 persons per km². The total area is 253.06 km².

The modern city of Hioki was established on May 1, 2005, from the merger of the towns of Fukiage, Higashiichiki, Hiyoshi and Ijūin (all from Hioki District).
