Hillhead is one of the 23 wards of Glasgow City Council. Situated to the west of the city centre, it currently covers the areas of Hillhead, Woodlands, Kelvinbridge and North Kelvinside. It also includes Kelvingrove Park, the University of Glasgow, and is served by the Glasgow Subway stations of St. George's Cross, Kelvinbridge, and Hillhead.

There are 3 councillors (previously 4) for the area; as of 4 May 2017, one councillor each from the Scottish Green Party, Scottish National Party, and Scottish Labour represent the ward.
