Heather Patricia Melville OBE, CCMI (born 1962) is a British banker, the Director for Strategic Partnerships and Head of Business Inclusion Initiatives of Royal Bank of Scotland.[1] In September 2016, Heather Melville CCMI was appointed to the Board and as Chair of the Advisory Committee for 'CMI Women', Chartered Management Institute.[2][3] Melville is a diversity, inclusion leader[4] and founder and Global Chair of RBS Focused Women's Network.[5][6] She is recognised in Financial Times 2016 inaugural UPstanding100 Executive BAME Power List (UK & US)[7] and Financial Times 2017 EMpower 100 ethnic minority leaders 100.[8] In 2017 Heather was recognised with an Order of the British Empire for her ‘services to Gender Equality’.

Background

Heather Melville was born in December 1962. She grew up in London and was educated at the IBM business school.[9] For a number of years, Melville has sat on the judging panel for the “UK Fashion & Textile Awards”,[10][11] "The National Diversity Awards",[12] "We Are The City Rising Stars"[13] as well as the "Brummel's Top 30".[14] Heather Melville is the Founder and global Chair of RBS Focused Women's Network,[15] which today has C 12,000 members in 33 countries and is run entirely by volunteers.[16]
