Hapsidophrys principis is a species of snake in the family Colubridae.[1][2] It was described by George Albert Boulenger in 1906. The species are founded on the island of Príncipe in São Tomé and Príncipe and are founded in elevations between 100 and 300 meters above sea level.. As to all snakes in the island, they were likely they came from underwater as sea snakes and likely they were not rafted through the Congo River.
