The church is part of the Halsa parish in the Indre Nordmøre deanery in the Diocese of Møre. The white wooden church was built in 1734 with a cross-shaped floor plan. The church seats about 330 people. The pulpit is from 1724. The altarpiece is from 1725 and is painted in oxide green with marble and silver lacquer.
