Green Oasis School, is a Years 1-11 school open to both local and expatriate children from 5 to 16 years of age. GOS follows an adapted UK National Curriculum for England. There is a strong emphasis on the learning of Chinese language and culture. [1]In Years 10 and 11 all students follow a course leading to IGCSE examinations (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) in their chosen subjects. Some subjects are compulsory, but there is a choice to suit the aptitude and interest of students. All students are required to study the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Chinese. Students must choose one subject each from the Option Block A, B, and C. Additionally, students must select 2 science options (out of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). IGCSE Physical Education is offered as an additional option. The English Literature option is only offered to the 1st Language Students only.

Starting from 2016, the school has changed the Year 10/11 English course from IGCSE course to GCSE course, as "many top universities in the UK are no longer accepting IGCSE English Language."[1]
