Grande Ecaille is an unincorporated community located in the parish of Plaquemines, Louisiana, United States.

Geography

The town is located at 29°22′48″N 89°46′50″W / 29.38000°N 89.78056°W / 29.38000; -89.78056, approximately 10 miles (16 km) west of Port Sulfur.[1] This community is only 3 feet (0.91 m) above sea level, making it an area prone to flooding. Its population consists of less than two hundred inhabitants. This community is located 71 kilometers from New Orleans.[2]
