Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET)(Odia: ଗାନ୍ଧୀ ଯାନ୍ତ୍ରିକ ଓ ପ୍ରୌଦ୍ୟୋଗିକ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ, ଗୁଣୁପୁର)is an (Autonomous) engineering college located at Gunupur, in the state of Odisha, India. It was established in the year 1997. This institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, India and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology Government of Odisha since 1997. It has also got approval from AICTE for admission of foreign nationals and PIO's. GIET has now been under consideration for the status of the University with Potential for Excellence by the Govt. Now the college is also conferred with autonomous status, GIET is an ISO 9000:2000 Certified institute for maintaining its quality in the field of technical education.[1]

Managing Trust

Prof. (Dr.) Satya Prakash Panda ( Chairman) and Prof. ( Dr.) Chandra Dhwaj Panda ( Secretary) founded a trust called Vidya Bharathi Education Trust which is a non-governmental organization, established in the year 1996. The Trust works in the area of Education & Literacy, towards the promotion of modern and technical education in the state of Odisha . The Vidya Bharti Education Trust is a conglomerate of educational institutions.
