Ganaveh County (Lurish and Persian: شهرستان گناوه) is a county in Bushehr Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Bandar Ganaveh. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 82,937, in 17,701 families.[1] The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Rig District. The county has two cities: Bandar Rig and Bandar Ganaveh. Abū-Saʿīd Jannābī, the founder of the Qarmatian state, was from Ganaveh.The people of Ganaveh speak Lurish language from southern Lurish dialect.
