Early life and education

He graduated from Kocaeli University in Automotive Engineering and from Anadolu University in Foreign Trade and Marketing. Before switching paths to pursue acting and singing, he worked as an engineer and a teacher for a brief period of time. [4] [5] He was involved in amateur theatre groups in high school and university years and gave live music performances during the same time. After studying for a year at Müjdat Gezen Art Center, he was chosen for the Müjdat Gezen Theatre as a professional actor.

Gökhan is diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and has used this condition as an advantage to concentrate and give all his energies to his work. Due to this condition Gökhan has been forced to plan and schedule his life since he was diagnosed. [6]

Career

"Acting and music are my two flowers. I water both, I do not distinguish between them." [7]

Gökhan Alkan

"I have two loves; music and acting. Like a loyal lover, I ran after my love, won my love, got married. We are married now and living our love." [8]

Gökhan Alkan

"I don’t like texting. I either send a voice message or I make a call. I like to hear a voice. Those buttons, that keyboard looks so cold to me. I don’t like emojis. The way I message is like yes, no, I’m coming. I don’t put a smiley after my message. There were some people who misunderstood me, who got upset, hurt, because of the way I send messages." [9]
