Force 2 is a 2016 Indian action thriller[4] film written and directed by Abhinay Deo, which features John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles.[5] It is a sequel to the 2011 film Force, and the second installment of the Force film series.[6] Principal photography of the film commenced in August 2015, and the film was released on 18 November 2016.[7][8][9][10] Upon release, the film received positive reviews.[11][2][5]
Plot
An ex-cop investigates the death of his best friend and two other spies, killings that lead to a mole operating from India's embassy in Budapest.

Critical reception
On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 63%, based on 8 reviews with an average rating of 5/10.[14] India Today[5] and The Times of India gave the film 3 stars out of 5.[15] Mid-Day[16] and The Hindustan Times gave the film 2 stars out of 5.[17]
Box office
The film has grossed ₹ 6.6 crore on its first day, becoming John Abraham's highest opening grosser.[11] The film faced problems due to demonetization which was active at the time of its release and grossed ₹37 crore in India and ₹58.75 crore worldwide.[2]

The film score was composed by Prasad Sashte who had earlier composed the score of Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. The lyrics have been written by Kumaar and Rashmi Virag and the songs have been composed by Gourov Roshin and Amaal Mallik. Its first song Rang Laal which is sung by Dev Negi, John Abraham and Aditi Singh Sharma was released on 21 October 2016 . The full soundtrack was released on 27 October 2016.

Game
An official game based on the film has been launched after the release of the film by Hungama Digital Media.[18]
Sequel
After release of the film, actor John Abraham (who is also producer of the film) confirms that they will soon start working on Force 3, with Abhinay Deo returning as director.[19] Filming will start from the middle of 2017, John confirmed to reporters.[20][21]
