Five Feet Apart is a 2019 American romantic drama film written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis and directed by Justin Baldoni. The film will star Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson and will be released on March 22, 2019 by CBS Films.[1]

Premise

Stella and Will are young cystic fibrosis patients being treated at the same hospital where they fall in love. Complicating matters, strict rules prohibit the couple from being closer than five feet from each other.

Production

In January 2017, Tobias Iaconis and Mikki Daughtry sold their untitled screenplay to CBS Films for Justin Baldoni to produce and direct.[2] In January 2018, Cole Sprouse was cast to star in the film, titled Five Feet Apart.[3][4] In April 2018, Haley Lu Richardson and Moises Arias joined the cast with filming set to begin in the next month.[5][6]

Principal production began in May 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana.[7][8]
