Fiumefreddo Bruzio (Calabrian: Jiumifriddu) is a town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy.

Main sights

  • Castello della Valle (Fiumefreddo Castle), founded in 1201. The entrance has a 16th century Renaissance portal. It houses several works of local painter Salvatore Fiume. The castle was besieged in 1806-1807 by French troops, and nearly destroyed.
