Felix Simoneaux Jr. (May 24, 1905 - April 19, 2016) was an American supercentenarian who was the oldest man in the United States from January 18, 2016, until his death on April 19, 2016.[1]

Biography

Simoneaux attended school until the age of 13, having to leave due to his father continually pulling him out of school to work. He settled in LaPlace, Louisiana in 1930. He became a carpenter, and was promoted to the position of foreman due to his self-education. He retired at the age of 70, and began to grow his own food. He died at the age of 110.[2]
