Fast Web Media is a digital marketing agency with offices in Manchester and London. The company provides clients with digital marketing services, specialising in search marketing, search engine optimisation, technical development, social media and mobile, and was named Best Agency at the UK Search Awards 2011.[1]

Fast Web Media acquired a new brand identity in 2015. The rebrand was prompted by mporium Group’s acquisition of the agency in 2015, through which FWM reassessed its brand, services and overall image.[2]

History

Founded in 1994, Fast Web Media initially focused on website development and produced the first Premier League website. In 1998, the company was bought by Fast Search & Transfer ASA, a major internet infrastructure corporation focusing on Search and Image/Video software. Since 2003 Fast Web Media has been delivering Search Engine Optimisation services to clients including Carling and the Premier League. Current clients also include Bravissimo, Cobra Beer and Coors Light.[3]

Fast Web Media returned to its roots by relocating to Manchester city centre in November 2017. Based in the city centre when they formed 21 years ago and now, after six years at MediaCityUK, the award-winning agency moved to the Waterhouse building, 41 Spring Gardens. The building was carefully refurbished, with an open plan, modern and highly collaborative design creating an outstanding working environment. Stephen O’Malley, Head of Agency for Fast Web Media said: "MediaCityUK has been great, however, it is time to head back to the city centre. Manchester continues to lead the way in digital innovation and it’s important FWM is operating at the centre of the action. We are proud of our history and achievements and will continue to develop the agency in order to be the best at what we do."

Products

In 2012, Fast Web Media launched its cloud-based digital marketing products: FWM and FWM WeatherFIT.[4] They allow companies or search agencies to localise and optimise search campaigns or content using real-time or forecast local weather data; users control which pay-per-click ads are displayed based on the weather.

In 2013, Fast Web Media launched WhoLooked, a reverse IP lookup tool aimed at B2B businesses which enables users to see which companies visited their website as well as details about the pages they viewed and the duration of their visit.[5]

Awards

  • 2013 - Best use of Search Marketing award for weatherFIT at the Rev Awards 2013[6]
  • 2012 - Best PPC Management Software for weatherFIT at the UK Search Awards 2012[7]

Partnership with the University of Salford

Fast Web Media and the Salford Business School, University of Salford, announced their partnership in May 2011.[8] As part of this, Fast Web Media will work with the University in a range of areas including two sectors of specialisation; search and social media marketing.[9]
