Everett Eissenstat is the current Deputy Director of the National Economic Council and Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs in the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. He also serves on the National Security Council. [1] He succeeds Kenneth Juster.[2] Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief International Trade Counsel for the Senate Committee on Finance.[3] He has also served as assistant U.S. Trade Representative for the Western Hemisphere.[4][5] Eissenstat holds a J. D. from the University of Oklahoma, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas, and a B.S. in Political Science and Spanish from Oklahoma State University.[6]

As the Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs he is the President’s personal representative or Sherpa (emissary) for international economic affairs. He attended the G7 Summit at Charleovoix [8] and was part of the China Delegation [9]
