Euler jump

The Euler (ISU Abbreviation 'Eu') is an edge jump in figure skating derived from the loop jump. It is launched from the back outside edge and is landed on the opposite foot and edge. It has also been known as the Half Loop or Thoren jump after Per Thorén. Eulers are usually used to link other jumps in a jump combination, such as 'Axel + Euler + Salchow'.

The Euler jump was known as the 'Half Loop' jump in International Skating Union regulations prior to the 2018/19 season where the name was changed.[1]
