Ernesto Irizarry Salvá is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of Utuado. Irizarry is affiliated with the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) and has served as mayor since 2013.[1] Ernesto Irizarry obtained victory in 2012 with a 50.10% of the electoral vote in Utuado and became the first mayor affiliated with the P.P.D. to win in the last 20 years in the Municipality of Utuado. In the 2016 elections for mayor of Utuado, Ernesto Irizarry Salvá won with 52.44% of the vote while the PNP candidate for mayor only obtained 46%.[2]
