Erin Houchin

Erin Houchin is an American politician from the state of Indiana. A member of the Republican Party, she serves in the Indiana State Senate, representing the 47th district.

Houchin is from Salem, Indiana.[1] She received her master's degree in political management from George Washington University.[2] She worked as a field manager for U.S. Senator Dan Coats.[1] Houchin was first elected to the Indiana Senate in 2014, defeating Richard D. Young, the incumbent.[2] She ran for the United States House of Representatives for Indiana's 9th congressional district in the 2016 elections,[3] but lost in the primary election to Trey Hollingsworth.[4]
