History

Encore was founded in 1999 by Dr. Bharat Sangani, and Patrick J. Barber to bring multiple real estate entities created by Dr. Sangani under one umbrella holding company.

In June 2009, the company closed a $150 million opportunity fund.[1]

In September 2010, the company formed a partnership with Sage Hospitality.[2][3]

In January 2014, the company sold a 220-unit apartment complex in Colorado for $40.75 million.[4]

In March 2014, the company acquired 10 acres in San Antonio, Texas.[5]

In July 2014, the company acquired Two Forest Plaza, a 196,215 square foot office building in Dallas.[6][7]

In February 2015, the company acquired hotels in McAllen, Texas and Tampa, Florida.[8]

In August 2015, the company acquired a retail site in Bedford, New Hampshire.[9]

In January 2016, the company partnered with New York Life Insurance Company to purchase Pinnacle Tower, a 24-story, 540,000 square foot office building in Dallas, for $95 million.[10][11][12]
