The El Mers Formation is a geological formation in the High Atlas of Morocco. It is a marine deposit consisting of claystone and is the lateral equivalent of the terrestrial Guettioua Sandstone. The sauropod dinosaur "Cetiosaurus" mogrebiensis has been found in the formation.[1]
