Don Bosco Technical College–Cebu is a private school in Cebu City managed by the Salesians of the South Province (FIS) of the Philippines. It is an all-boys school except for the Senior High School, TVED and College Departments.

The school conducts class masses every week and some Institutional Masses on an important day in the Liturgical Calendar, such as:

  • Beginning of Classes - Anytime on the month of the Opening of Classes
  • Assumption of Mary - August 15
  • Nativity of Mary - September 8
  • Mass for the Dead - Anytime on November
  • Immaculate Conception of Mary - December 8
  • Novena Days of St. John Bosco - January 21–30
  • St. John Bosco - January 31
  • Ash Wednesday

The current Vice President of the Pastoral Animation of the school is Rev. Fr. John Vernil Q. Lopez, S.D.B.[2]

Sportsmanship

Recently, DBTC bagged Gold both in the High school and Elementary sections in the Palarong Pambansa. Simon Del Campo received the MVP award during the tournament while Cyril Calo received the Best Goalkeeper award.[3] The school's passion for sports is very high. Intramural Games in the school lasts until the end of the school year.

PAASCU Affiliation

It is part of the school's strategies to have a strong push for a PAASCU accreditation. The school was visited by PAASCU accreditors in which the school received Candidate Status in 2015. On 15–16 January 2018, the school was again visited by the accreditors. Results of the PAASCU Formal Visit are not yet announced by the Association.[5]
