Disney XD is a pay television channel that broadcasts in the Southeast Asia region, owned by the Disney Channels Worldwide unit of the United States-based Disney–ABC Television Group, operated by The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia. It is aimed primarily at children, 6–15 years old.[3][5]
Due to lack of availability in some places some XD originals are broadcast on Disney Channel instead. Some are broadcast on both channels. Recently, it has become a destination for series that has ended its run on Disney Channel, with the notable exception of Marvel and Star Wars programming.
Availability
Disney XD first began broadcasting in Malaysia on September 15, 2012.[1] The channel was expanded to Singapore on March 16, 2013,[2] Indonesia and Thailand on October 19, 2013, and lastly, the Philippines on May 31, 2014.
