Dianne Buswell (born 6 May 1989) is an Australian ballroom dancer. She has appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia and was a professional dancer on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars in 2015. Buswell became a professional dancer on the British series Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
Early life
Dianne Buswell was born in Bunbury, Australia.[1] She started ballroom dancing at age 4.[2]
Career
Dianne and her brother Andrew Buswell[3] were Adult New Vogue WA Champaions for 2008 and 2010.[4] She also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia.[2] Buswell joined the live dance show Burn the Floor in January 2011.[5][2] Buswell joined Australia's Dancing with the Stars in 2015, paired with Australian AFL star Jude Bolton.[6] Bolton and Buswell were the fifth couple eliminated in the series.[7] Following her elimination from Dancing with the Stars, Buswell rejoined the Burn the Floor tour.[1]
Strictly Come Dancing
Buswell joined the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.[1][5] Her celebrity partner for the 2017 series was the Reverend Richard Coles.[8] Coles and Buswell were the second couple eliminated in the series, losing the dance-off to Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton in a unanimous decision.[9] She was paired with television presenter Tim Vincent for Strictly Come Dancing's 2017 Children in Need special.[10] For the 16th series, (2018) of the show, she is paired with Joe Sugg.[11]
