Plot

In a town, there are five selfish persons who do not hesitate to do any act for the gratification of their wishes. One is Bhujanga Rao (Mikkilineni), a businessman; Merchant, Abbadhaiah (Ramana Reddy); Karunakaran, in the guise of a social services organiser; Devaiah Shetty (Raja Babu), a loan vendor; Kirana, a store's proprietor; and Sanyasi Rao who sell all ration goods in black. Bhujanga Rao and Abbadhaiah murder their partner Kesava Rao through a deadly gangster Joginder (Rajanala). Joginder blackmails these two people and takes money from them. Ramu (N. T. Rama Rao), a young and energetic guy loves Leela (Devika), daughter of Bhujanga Rao. Ramu and Leela are childhood friends; their friendship grows along with them. In the beginning, Bhujanga Rao does not accept this relation because Ramu is poor, but due to Leela's pressure, he accepts it. For the marriage expenses, Ramu asks a debt from Devaiah Shetty, but he refuses and after Ramu has left, a robbery happens in his shop and the blame comes on Ramu and he is arrested. Bhujanga Rao breaks the marriage proposal and makes Leela's marriage with a millionaire Raghu (Kanta Rao) by threatening. After a few days, the real thief is caught and Ramu is acquitted; when he reaches back he comes to know that Leela’s marriage is over. Depressed, Ramu goes to the home where he sees Devaiah Shetty keeping his house for auction. Ramu leaves the town along with his little sister and reaches the city where he meets a stranger Gopi (Relangi), a dance master who helps him by giving shelter. Ramu joins as a worker for Karunakaran and Sanyasi Rao, observes their cheating towards society and resigns. Later, he gets a job in a drama company through Gopi, where he gets the acquaintance of a lady, Karuna (Sowcar Janaki).

Raghu and Leela lead a happy family life and they are blessed with a baby boy. Meanwhile, Joginder makes friendship with Raghu and spoils him by adopting all bad habits. One day, Jogindra sends his henchmen to attack Raghu for money and Ramu save him. Raghu invites Ramu to his house where he sees Leela as Raghu’s wife and seeing Ramu, Leela faints. Next day, Ramu meets Leela and promises her that from today onwards she is his sister. Raghu observes the close relation between Ramu and Leela and suspects, he scolds Leela and necks out Ramu. From that day, clashes arise between Raghu and Leela. Meanwhile, another story runs; Gopi joins as dance master to Abbadhaiah's daughter Radha (Girija) and they fall in love. After some time, Ramu writes a letter to Leela which comes into the hands of Raghu; after reading it he understands the holistic relation of Ramu and Leela and repents. He also comes to know the reality of Jogindra so, he revolts against him, Jogindra captures Raghu and keeps him in his custody. Police are in the process of investigating the crimes happening in the society and the murder case of Kesava Rao. Ramu joins hands with Police and catches all the antisocial elements in the society who are living in the mask of respectable persons. Gopi also helps them by frightening Abbadhaiah and reveals all the secrets. Now Police are in search of Jogindra. Raghu somehow escapes, before he reaches home, Jogindra kidnaps Leela and child. Ramu and Raghu, along with Gopi reach Joginder's den, save Leela and Jogindra is arrested. Finally, the movie ends with the marriage of Ramu and Karuna.
