David Mayo (born August 18, 1993) is an American football linebacker for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Panthers in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas State.

Professional career

Mayo was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round with the 169th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.[2]

On February 7, 2016, Mayo was part of the Panthers team that played in Super Bowl 50. In the game, the Panthers fell to the Denver Broncos by a score of 24–10.[3]
