Biography

Pajović graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Department of Biology, at the University of Montenegro. He is a graduate biologist and embryologist.

He began his work experience as a high school biology teacher in Danilovgrad. From 2003 to 2018 he worked professionally as an embryologist at the Center for Infectious Fertility "Life". He is a member of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) since 2004.

He started social engagement as an activist in the civil sector. He founded the NGO Green Home in 2000. During his twelve years of experience in the civil sector, he was a member of the National Council for Sustainable Development, the Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, a member of the Commission for Socio-Economic and Environmental Policy, and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Political career

Pajović was elected as the first President of Positive Montenegro at the party's founding congress in May 2012. The same year in October in the parliamentary elections he led the list of Positive Montenegro, which won 7 seats (8.4%) and became a parliamentary party. He was an MP during the 25th assembly of the Parliament of Montenegro.

On 27 January 2016, despite formerly being an opposition party, PCG provided the ruling DPS with 3 votes necessary to win the government confidence vote, after the junior partner SDP left the government due to allegations of electoral fraud and political corruption, therefore forming a new ruling majority. Following this vote, national media and other opposition parties accused Pajović and his party for deceiving and betraying their voters in order to save Prime Minister Đukanović.[2] In turn, in June 2016 Pajović was appointed as the President of the Parliament, position formerly held by Ranko Krivokapić (SDP), and held the position until October 2016.

After PCG lost its parliamentary status at the 2016 parliamentary election in which it won 1,32% of the votes, Pajović announced his resignation as the party leader and withdrew from politics, until he was appointed by DPS-led government as an the Ambassador of Montenegro to China in May 2018.
