Czech Republic

Czech Cricket Union is the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Czech Republic. Its current headquarters is in Prague, Czech Republic. Czech Cricket Union is the Czech Republic's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an affiliate member and has been a member of that body since 2000. It is also a member of the European Cricket Council.

History

The first cricket match in the Czech Republic was played in 1997, and the Českomoravský Kriketový Svaz was set up in 2000 to drive forward the development of the game.We play a 20-over league, a 40-over league and an indoor league every year. Our new cricket-dedicated facility at Kriket Vinoř has been in operation since 2012. We have net facilities in the centre of Prague, at the Tenisové Centrum Olšanská.

The 40-Over League is made up of 10 teams in two Divisions, while the T20 League is played in 2 groups, over 200 players are currently registered in the leagues. Our cricket academy ([1]) introduces cricket to Czech school children running after school clubs in over a dozen schools and 2 junior clubs. In addition we run Junior tournaments amongst the international schools in Prague.

Executive Committee

The Česko Moravský Kriketový Svaz [2] is a member based organisation, clubs that join the association become members with full voting rights. the operations of the CMKS are carried out by the committee, as elected by the member clubs. The current committee is:
