Claudio Aprile is a Uruguay-born chef who was raised in Canada. He has had multiple restaurants over the years and is a judge on MasterChef Canada. He is married to Heather Aprile and they have two children together.[1] He launched a new restaurant, Copetin Restaurant And Bar in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in July 2017.[2]

Career

Colborne Lane (2007-2013)

Colborne Lane was located on Colborne St in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, close to St. Lawrence Market.[3] Colborne Lane opened with great success being named one of the top 10 new restaurants in Canada according to enRoute magazine.[4]

In 2009, Aprile opened the first Origin restaurant as the executive chef and owner. The original restaurant opened its doors to the public in 2010, it was located on King Street (Toronto) and closed in early 2017. In subsequent years, Aprile opened two more Origin restaurants, one in Liberty Village and one in Bayview Village. The Liberty Village location opened in 2012 and was only open until 2013. The Bayview Village location opened in 2013 and closed in 2016.

Masterchef Canada (2014present)

Aprile is currently one of three original presenters/judges for MasterChef Canada.
