History

Classic Tech a licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Network Service Provider (NSP) was formed in July 2009. Classic Tech provides Internet and Network services Fiber Optics, Radio Modems, VSAT, Hotspots, Broadband Wireless Internet Service, Web Solutions and Hosting,Co-locating Service and VoIP Telephony service.

Services & Operations

Internet Service

Classic Tech introduced internet service in 2009. It uses Optical Fiber Cable to deliver Broadband Internet to organizations and end customers. It also uses certain other mediums like V-SAT, Radio Modems for the services.

CT WiFi, is a WiFi Internet service, currently limited to selected places (hotspots) in the Valley, provides WiFi Internet connection via WiFi hotspots and best suited for mobile users like students, residential, travelers. CT WiFi provides wireless internet connectivity options inside and outside Kathmandu valley. The company also provides fixed wireless broadband service to residential users.[2]

Intranet Service

Classic Tech offers Intranet/VPN/WAN connectivity and services via Fiber Optics Cable or Wireless Radio Modems (or both). Banks and finance companies are now using such services for their ABBS and other common applications.

CAN InfoTech

In CAN InfoTech 2012, Classic Tech launched 1Mbit/s internet connection. However the connection was subject to fair usage policy. According to the fair usage policy the customer could surf internet at speed of 1Mbit/s until a 10GB limit is reached. After the 10GB limit has been reached the speed will be dropped to 128kbit/s. For the next month the speed again be reset to 1Mbit/s.[3]
