Chris Berrow

Chris Berrow (born 5 December 1989 in Morden, Surrey) is a presenter currently working for BBC Radio Lincolnshire and BBC Radio 3. Berrow studied Music at St John's College, University of Cambridge.

Career

Radio

While at Cambridge, Berrow was an active member of the student radio station Cam FM, presenting a regular show.[1]

After leaving University, Berrow began work at BBC Radio 2 on the Jeremy Vine show.

As a presenter, Berrow has worked for BBC Radio Lincolnshire, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, BBC Essex, BBC Northampton, BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC Radio Sheffield, BBC Radio Derby, BBC Radio York, BBC Radio Oxford, and BBC Radio 1 on the Dan and Phil Show.

Berrow also produces and occasionally presents BBC Radio 5 Live Science, with The Naked Scientists.[2]

In June 2017 Berrow started as a network presenter with BBC Radio 3.

In July 2017 Berrow started presenting BBC Introducing in Lincolnshire.

In June 2018 Berrow covered the All England show for Johnny I'Anson.[3]

Documentaries

Berrow's first documentary was broadcast on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, called "Pink Floyd in Cambridge",[4] and was about the origins of the band.

Berrow's second documentary was first broadcast on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, called "The Night Climbers of Cambridge", about the secret tradition of night climbing. It was subsequently broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live.[5]

Other documentaries include "Cambridge: The Birthplace of Football",[6] "Breakout: The Origins of Swing Out Sister,[7] “A Little Respect: The Origins of Erasure”,[8] "Don't Leave Me This Way: The Story of The Communards",[9] "An Evening with Clive James",[10] and "A Blue Plaque for Sir Neville Marriner".[11]

Family

Chris is the son of the session violinist Mark Berrow.[12]
