Cholomondeley Goonewardene
Cholomondeley de Foneska Goonewardene (16 September 1917 - 16 September 2006) was a Sri Lankan politician.[1]
He was the last surviving member to have served on the first Parliament of Ceylon.[2] Goonewardene was a lawyer by profession and before being elected to parliament served as the Chairman of the Kalutara Urban Council.[2] Representing the Lanka Sama Samaja Party he was the member for the Kalutara electorate. In June 1964 he was appointed Minister of Works in the First Sirimavo Bandaranaike cabinet.[3][4]
