The Central City Line is a planned 6-mile long bus rapid transit (BRT) line in Spokane, Washington. The line is planned to begin construction in 2019 and open to 2021,[2] and will be operated by the Spokane Transit Authority.

The line is projected to carry 1 million annual passengers.[3]

Route

The line would begin in the Browne's Addition neighborhood just west of Downtown Spokane, run through the core of downtown, continuing eastward through the University District, and ultimately ending at Spokane Community College in the Chief Garry Park neighborhood.[4]

All stops and stations will feature near-level boarding and real-time information. Most stops will feature off-board ticketing.

Vehicles

The Central City Line is planned to utilize articulated tram-like battery electric buses with inductive charging stations at each terminus.
