Cathlene Labuschagne is a South African politician, and the leader of the official opposition Democratic Alliance in the National Council of Provinces.[1] She was formerly alderman for Ward 70 in the Cape Town City Council and later a member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament between 2009 and 2014.[2]
She was sworn in as a member of the NCOP after the 2014 election, and was elected caucus leader in 2016.
Early life
Cathlene Labuschagne was born in Durbanville in the Western Cape. She moved to Namibia and completed her high school education at Mariental High School in Mariental. She returned to South Africa and studied at the University of Stellenbosch.
