Carrick Castle; is a village on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The village is within the Argyll Forest Park, which is itself within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.[1]
The village of Carrick Castle is located on Loch Goil.[2] The village church is listed on the buildings at risk register of Scotland.[3] There is a waymarked path to Ardentinny from Carrick Castle village.[4]
Carrick Castle (Building)
Carrick Castle, a 15th-century castle built on a rock on the shoreline of Loch Goil, was originally a Clan Lamont stronghold.[5]
