Carolus Andriamatsinoro (born July 6, 1989) is a Malagasy football player.

Club career

WA Tlemcen

On January 31, 2011, Carolus signed for Algerian club WA Tlemcen.[1] On March 19, 2011, he made his debut for the club as a starter in a league game against USM Annaba, scoring a goal in the 90th minute of the game.[2]

USM Alger

On May 28, 2012, Carolus signed for Algerian club USM Alger, in his first season he missed 9 months due to a serious injury to the knee.[3] where he only participated in 6 matches it was with the end of the season including the final of the Algerian Cup and the UAFA Club Cup and won them it was behind the penalty kick that Meftah scored the winning goal, in the second season he scored in the first league game two goals against MO Béjaïa it is the first since joining the team, then in the fourth round of the derby against USM El Harrach scored his third goal in the season and the goal of the win later in round 10 he scored the only goal against CRB Aïn Fakroun then in the Super Cup final against ES Sétif scored the second goal contributed to the achievement of the title, andria and four months after his last goal in the league scored the winning goal in the last minute against CS Constantine in Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium.[4] Which is his last goal this season during which he won the Ligue Professionnelle 1 title for the first time also finished the season top scorer for the team with six goals jointly with Ahmed Gasmi and Abdelmalek Ziaya.

In the new season 2014-15 Andria has renewed his contract for two more seasons the administration also changed the player number from 2 to 9 to declare that he will work impossible to provide a better level than last season however did not provide a good standard and generally the whole team where we survive the fall in the last round, Andria scored a single goal in the league was against ASM Oran on 19 December, either on the continental level and in his first match at this level against the club Foullah Edifice Chadian scored the third goal and then in the same competition scored a goal against Guinean club AS Kaloum contributed to the Union's qualification to the group stage.[5] in the Algerian Cup, Andria scored two goals against CRB Ouled Abdelkader in the first round and in the second round against USM El Harrach, Then in the 2015-16 season it was the start with the Champions League, where they managed to reach the final of the competition for the first time Andria participated in the final in the second leg game only and did not participate in the first leg because he was suspension.[6] However, the return to the championship the first goal was against CS Constantine outside the home, and in round 7 scored his second goal against RC Arbaâ, And then outside the home scored his third goal against ASM Oran and in the last game of the first leg against USM Blida, he scored his fourth goal of the season and the first this season at Omar Hammadi Stadium then he could not score a goal until the end of the Ligue Professionnelle 1 but won the championship for the second time in his history.

In the season of 2016-17 was required of Andria to provide a better level, especially as it is the last season and has not renewed his contract yet where the guarantee of a place in the formation of the Union is difficult, especially with the administration of Ali Haddad contract with several attackers where the management of the team put the CAF Champions League as a goal However, he did not offer a high level and despite his participation in 30 games did not score only five goals, scoring his last goal against MC Oran and his last match in the CAF Champions League against Al-Ahli Tripoli.[8] in total, Andria played with team 132 games and scored 20 goals and achieved 6 titles and is considered the most foreign player with his team matches, and after 5 years during with the club Carolus left after his contract expired in 2017.[7],[9] the fans lamented his departure, especially since they had become accustomed to him and they considered him an Algerian. However, they wished him success in the rest of his career.

Personal life

Andria converted to Islam in 2013 and changed his name from Carolus to Islam, then he married an Algerian and had one son, Andrea also owns Algerian nationality.[10][11]

In March 2011, Carolus was called up to the Madagascar U23 national team for a 2012 Olympic qualifier against Algeria.[13]
