MoviECard, created and launched by Carnival Cinemas, is India’s first ever revolutionary new movie subscription service for movie theatres. With the MoviEcard, Carnival has raised the bar on innovation, encouraging consumers to come back to the movie theatres. MoviEcard is the ultimate accessory for all die-hard movie fans who love the magic of motion pictures on the big screen, giving its users access over 300 screens across 100 properties in 80 Indian cities. Carnival Cinemas, aims to ‘democratise movie viewing experience’ by making it accessible to all movie lovers across the country.
Growth Story
In India, it’s footprints is present in over 20 prominent states like Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Assam ,Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Goa. In sync with the current growth plans, Carnival Cinemas has signed MoUs with Governments of Jharkhand and Odisha in order to set up 75 theatres-cum-recreation zones and 150 screens in the respective states. This will enable the Group’s vision of holding 1000 screens by 2018 in India, each one providing a state-of-the-art movie experience and premium service standard. Carnival group, confirmed in July 2018, that it will acquire Elan Group's 100 per cent stake in Novo Cinemas United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
