Capco, first known as The Capital Markets Company N.V., is a global business and technology consultancy with 28 offices across four continents: Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Founded in 1998, Capco focuses on financial services, including banking and payments, capital markets, and wealth and asset management. It also has a dedicated energy division in the US.

Its global headquarters are in London, UK. In December 2017, Capco, recently opened a new office in Charlotte, North Carolina.[1]

History
1998 | Capco was founded as The Capital Markets Company NV by Belgian entrepreneur Rob Heyvaert, with offices in Antwerp, London, New York, and Frankfurt. |
1999 | Capco opened an office in Paris, France. |
2001 | The company was rebranded as Capco, and the first issue of the Capco Journal of Financial Transformation was published by The Capco Institute. |
2007 | Capco acquired City Practitioners Limited of London, U.K, a derivatives technology-focused consulting practice. |
2010 | Capco was acquired by Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), a provider of banking and payments technology. |
2015 | Rob Heyvaert left Capco, Lance Levy took over as CEO of Capco. |
2017 | FIS sold its majority stake in Capco to Clayton, Dublier and Rice (CD&R),a private equity firm based in New York, making Capco an independent company again. FIS continues to hold a minority, 40% stake in the company. |
