Callixte Kalimanzira

Callixte Kalimanzira was the Interior Minister of the interim government of Rwanda during the 1994 genocide.

Kalimanzira was indicted[1] by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda for his actions during the genocide in 2005 on three counts: genocide, complicity in Genocide and direct and public incitement to commit genocide; he pleaded not guilty.[2] On June 22, 2009, Kalimanzira was sentenced to thirty years in prison for two counts of genocide and direct and public incitement to commit genocide.[3] Full record of the case can be found at the ICTR.[4]
