Butler Transit Authority, operating as TheBus, is a public transportation service located in Butler, Pennsylvania. The service provides mass transit access for the central portion of the county, which is centered around the county seat. The agency additionally provides weekday commuter access to Pittsburgh. However, no bus routes run through Cranberry Township, which is the largest and most heavily suburbanized community in the county; riders from this municipality are instead served by a private commuter service operated by Lenzer Coach Lines. Pittsburgh services feature five park-and-ride options. Both commuter routes serve the Pullman Square lot in Butler. Route 8 service also stops at Glade Run Church in Middlesex Township and the Duncan Avenue lot in Hampton Township. I-79 service stops at Edco Park in Evans City and the PennDOT lot in Jackson Township.
