Brighton Central School District

The Brighton Central School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 3,700 students in portions of the towns of Brighton and Pittsford[1] in Monroe County with over 600 employees and an operating budget of $60,547,645.[2]

The average class size is 20 students and the student-teacher ratio is 12:1 (elementary), 11:1 (middle-high school).[2]

Dr. Kevin McGowan, Ed.d. is the current Superintendent of Schools.

Board of education

The Board of Education has seven elected members. Members serve overlapping three-year terms with two to three seats up election each year. The current boards members are:
