Eurovision Song Contest
On 12 December 2016, Faniello and the song "Breathlessly" were revealed as one of the 60 shortlisted entries for Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Malta's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.[3] She was confirmed to be one of the 16 finalists on 21 December.[4] In the final, held on 18 February 2017, Faniello performed last and went on to win the competition, earning 4,996 votes.[2][5] She represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, competing in the first half of the second semi-final.[6][7]
It placed 8th with the juries, but last with no points from the public televote, placing 16th and failing to qualify for the final.
