Brainware University is a private university located near Barasat,Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established after the West Bengal Assembly passed the Brainware University bill in 2015. It is part of the Brainware Group of Institutions.[1][2][3] Like all universities in India, Brainware University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[1]
Campus
Brainware University is built on the 9-acre Barasat campus, located at Barasat Kazipara (Near Jagadighata Market). It is a 5 minutes drive away from the Barasat Chapadali busstand and 10 minutes drive away from the Barasat Railway Junction. The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at Dum Dum, Kolkata.
The Central Library has more than 36,000 textbooks and reference books. The institute also subscribes journals, periodicals, proceedings, magazines which are available. Facilities and book stocks in the library are constantly upgraded and expanded.
Programmes
The university offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. Courses are run by constituent institutes and schools situated on its campus. Brainware University is offering programs in the field of management, engineering, computer science, commerce and bio-technology.
